Stacey Brown

800 Words
God, I’m so glad school is over. I can rest today. Shaun and I are doing our project together on the weekend. I, for one, am not looking forward to it. I can see myself doing all the work and getting credit for it. I’ve had supper and finished my homework, and now I’m aloud on face time I can’t wait. I miss my best friend Stacey Brown. We grew up together. We went through nursery, reception and primary school. Unfortunately, our parents had different views on which schools we should go to. She got sent to Shensturn academy, where I got sent to Grantham Academy. I wish our parents hadn’t decided on different schools because now I’d be with my bff here and she’d be standing up for me. Yes, I had friends but none of them were like Stacey, she was my savior. She didn’t care about others, and she wasn’t scared of anyone. She wouldn’t scower or run away. She’d stand up and fight, unlike the friends I had here. She’d begged me several times to tell my parents about Cameron Grayson, so I could leave this hellhole and be with her, so she could protect me. But, me being as stubborn as I am, rejected it and ended up spending the last three years in a living hell. I set my laptop up and went into face time-calling my friend. Her face came onto the screen, her curls fell down her face. "I’m not disturbing anything am I?" "Not at all. Jacob is here." "Shall I call you back?" "No, no, how are you sweetie?" "Same old." "Is that prick still giving you hassle? If he is, I’ll go down there and kick his ass!" I laughed. There’d been many times I’d told her not to, though it was tempting to say go ahead. "No. There’s a new member of his pathetic gang now." "Really there’s a new student at your school? A girl or a boy?" "Boy, everyone’s s**t scared of him.' "What’s his name? I might know him." "Shaun Thomas. But you may not know him." "Are you shitting me? They sent that delinquent to your school?" "Excuse me, a what?" "Shaun Thomas. Do you know how many schools he’s been to?" "No." "Ten. He was at our school when I began here. He lasted a week before he got expelled. He’s a d**k-be-careful of him Tiara, he’s dangerous. I’m surprised you’ve never heard of him." "No.' "Stay away from him Tiara, he’s worse than Cameron. He’ll make your life a living hell until he’s finished with you. That’s if he decides to stop tormenting you." "Is he really that bad?" "He’s worst T trust me. He’s the worst form of bully there. Why do you think Cameron latched on to him? If you see him you’re truly f****d T, please listen to me this time and get the hell out of that school before you end up in a coma or worse, a body bag. He’s evil. He’s the Devil himself. Kids have been permanently scared because of him, or they’ve committed suicide. Please, for once, listen to me. I’m begging you. Tell your parents you want to move schools before he latches on to you and does to you what he’s done to others." "I have to do a project with him." "Are you insane T? He’ll use it as ammo against you." "The teacher paired us." "Ask him to change who you’re working with." "I’ll try." "We’ll talk more on Saturday, okay, we’ll meet up and talk." "I can’t. I’m meeting him." "Tell him you’ll see him after we need to talk." "Oh hey, babe." "Hey Jake. I hope you’re taking care of my bff." "Always babe." "Don’t call me that, you’ll get your girlfriend jealous." "She knows I’m only messing. How’s the dive?" "Okay I guess." "Shaun Thomas is there." Stacey chimed. A seriousness spread across his face. "You’ve got to be f*****g kidding me? Please tell me you're kidding?" "Unfortunately not." His frown deepened. "Stay away from him baby, he’s bad news, he’s trouble with a capital T." "I’ll try." "I’d he gives you hassle come me I’ll sort that prick out." "Okay Jake." Another person that’s not scared of him. Mind you, Jake isn’t scared of anyone. He’s had it out with Cameron several times, though it seems to have no effect on him, just me. "Well, we’re going to love you and leave you. We’ll meet you at ten outside Laspangol, okay?" "Okay. Don’t do anything I wouldn’t." "Night T." "Night love birds." I chuckled, before ending the call. I’m so glad I had those two as best friends. She and Jake got together in year six and have been together since they are the perfect couple.
