Intruder

From the other room George could hear footsteps. He has always been a light sleeper. He was ready to see what the intruder wanted to achieve first before making a move. When he heard the door being opened he moved swiftly towards the room and caught the hit from Mr. Jackson on the intruder's head
Even after so many years he was surprised by the vigor he still had on him. A mafia is always a mafia even when the environment changes.
He jumped on the guy and hit him hard and made sure he was unconscious. He then made a call and few men come to take him away.
Steph woke up from all the commotion in the room and was surprised o see her dada and George standing in the middle of the room. Though her dad was sick and weak he seemed different. Also there was a man lying on the floor
She didn't need to ask too much and waited for them to fill her in. She knew her dad and man very well. When they want her to know they will tell her if not then she won't force it.
When two men took the man under Georges head signal she knew there is more than meets the eye.
She has been observing her dad and George for a while and note there is a silent communication between them. When she went to get soup she had a hunch that they knew each other but she didn't want to expose them. She wanted to find out more about what's going on
Ever since she met George she had a feeling that they knew each other long ago. There was the familiarity between them and it keeps getting stronger and stronger. Also she has been having nightmares for a few years now on the same thing over and over.
And each time she seems to see a version of a guy who looked like George. Though the guy is younger but the build and features fits George. At first she thought it was just a dream but it keeps happening and it's getting more formed.
In the dream she was going to a friend's house and was surprised by what she saw. She found her friend holding a g*n and shooting a man right in front of her without blinking.
She was scared and shouted in shock. Which attracted the attention of the people in the room. One of the men in the room shot at her and shot her in the head with a g*n. Every time she wakes up at this point. She has never understood what happened and if it was a dream until she visited a doctor. The doctor said she had a selective amnesia.
It was also said she had an accident and it seems she experienced trauma in the past.
She walked over to her dad and took him to bed and took George with her.
In the next room she sat down and waited for him to explain everything. He sat down and looked at her. He could not imagine how long it has been since the accident years ago. He remembered that one day when he was younger. His grandfather brought a traitor home and asked him to finish him off. That was his first time holding a g*n. Though he has lived with his grandfather for long and saw the bloodshed in the g**g he had never participated.
His grandfather said it was his initiation in the g**g. He wanted to leave everything to him when he is no more. He was training him for a much higher purpose. He was to become the head of the family even with his father being alive.
He didn't want any of it but he was forced into that life. His grandfather was a cruel emotionless and cold man. It did not matter who you are. He would kill you without hesitation when you cross his line.
When he shot the man in the living room at that time, he heard a sharp shout from behind him. Before he could react one of the men in the room shot on the person. Unconsciously, he hit the man's hand with his g*n before shooting him on his leg next.
The person being shot at the door fell down and fainted. He ran over and called the family doctor over in his room. The person was Steph. The younger Steph. They were living in the same area. This is because the parents and grandfather were allies and worked on the same organization.
The doctor said she was okay but was traumatized. Mr. Jackson was called over and he took her to the hospital. When she woke up she remembered everyone in the room except him. It was hurtful to see the girl he liked looking blankly at him.
From that moment onward he immersed himself in training and started thinking of getting her out of his mind. His grandfather was happy but he was not. From her reaction on the incident he knew she was not ready for his world. Also he didn't want her to experience the same thing ever. The best solution is for her to stay away from all the g**g thing. With his help, Mr. Jackson and his wife relocated to their current home. Though they kept in touch he tried not to come near her life.
That's why years later he was in a relationship with Sharon. Though Sharon and he were together for a long time, she never really understood who he was and what he was capable off.
He had developed feelings for her and was serious about marrying her but he was happy she left him. It gave him a chance to think things over. He was ready for Steph and going to the same school was the first step. The colliding in the corridor when they met was not an accident. He had been planning for days. When he saw she was sad and running absent mindedly he saw his opportunity.
The moment they become friends, he knew he wanted more and wanted to be her man.
