The Flea’s trial. The Vampire Bat Judges “The trial started. We all stayed there for a whole night. Crying, I told the old judges and the lawyer the full story of the events in the Great Plain. Later on, after midnight, the judges seemed to have become even fiercer. They hit the table with their fists every now and then, especially when the tomcats giggled in the courtroom. They wanted to have silence! Their eyes were red with tiredness, but also with fury.
