Friends for Life

Friends for Life Did you ever ask yourself what it means for a flea to leave its natural environment – the furs of various animals? What does it mean for it to discover nature, to meet creatures that live among the plants? Creatures that lack furs, or “coiffure”? Well, all these have an unsuspected impact on it. The character we met in Volume I, a courageous Flea, lives such an adventure. He was fated to learn many new things in a very short period of time. In practice it was just one night, like a shooting star that traverses the vault of the sky in a fraction of a second, but which, with the help of the Lord, discovers a multitude of secrets from various planets. As for us, destined to glimpse its magic gleam only for a second, we are compelled never to forget it throughout our lives: its tail will shine forever in our memories, lighting the path of dreams. The Flea ended up, paradoxically, caring very much for the Drop of Blood! And this in a situation where he himself represented one of the fearsome enemies of the liquor of life - the blood… So we remember that, one starry autumn night, under a richly leaved bush, an unforgettable friendship was forged between a Flea, a Drop of Blood, and a little Silk Worm. The Flea was a perfect actor: he had writing talent, he had the gift of beautiful words, but he was also a fighter who did not hold back from using various tricks in order to reach his goals. The Drop of Blood was a very wise creature. But war had brought her countless troubles, as it had so many others,. She was looking for her husband and son who had been lost in tragic circumstances. The Flea and the Drop of Blood had met absolutely by chance and discovered together a very intelligent little Silk Worm whose pure soul had won them over. The friendship of these three characters was going to change each one of them. The Flea, especially, had learned that being strong does not necessarily mean being selfish, cunning and nasty to those around you. He had found out how strong a frail blade of grass can be, so well anchored in the ground, but flexible and sensitive even to the lightest breath of wind. He had learned that, throughout your life, if you were always going to keep a green tree in your heart, a bird that charms your soul with its trills will, sooner or later, sit on one of its branches. He had learned that where there is Love, it is impossible not to have miracles.
