8. Fainting

„Hallo?“ A deep Voice waked me up and I tried to open my eyes. I was still so tiered my eyes did not want to open. My pillow was feeling much harder than last night. When I tried to find a better position I heard a gentle moan and my nose picked up the smell of lemongrass and my eyes shut open.

Oh, no.

I was still in the lift and cuddled up at Ace, who was leaning he‘s body against the wall and sitting on the floor. My head was on his chest.

Wonderful.

Thank god, he was still sleeping. I immediately stood up and let go off him.

„Madam? Everything okay?“ The Voice I heard a few seconds ago tried again to get my attention.

I turned around still sleepy and bewildered to see a older man standing at the now open door of the lift.

„Were the two of you all the night in the lift?“ He asked and started to pack his tooling equipment together. I think, he was the mechanist wich came to repair the lift.

„Eh.. yeah. Thank you!“ I repeat sleepy. „Wich time is it?“ I added.

„Its something about 10 a.m. I guess.“ He chuckled. „You should wake up your boyfriend and leave the lift now. I need to check everything. I still don‘t know what happened.“ He explained directly without waisting any time.

Wonderful.

I was going to miss my second day at the university as well and the old man gaped at me nonstop, waiting for me to leave and take Ace with me. I was overstrained. I just woke up in this damn lift, wich I am not going to use ever again, trying to put together what actually happened still sleepy and confused.

When I turned around to wake Ace up I got a shock because he was already awake and looking at me with open eyes and with no emotions at all on his face.

There you are Creepy-Ace!

I could feel my cheeks getting red due to embarrassment, because I hugged him unknowingly, when I was asleep. God, this was bad. I bet he is going to tease me because of it for the rest of my time in this Uni.

„I bet, you did sleep really well, right?“ he smirked at me and stood up from the floor.

Wonderful.

„In your dreams maybe.“ I made clear and crossed my arms. I could start cry again. Why? Why did I had to hug him?

„ I do not have to dream, its already reality. You can try to negate it as much as you want, but we bough know the truth.“ He chuckled and stepped out of the lift, feeling like Casanova.

Arghh.

I hated him. I hated this arrogant guy. He definitely needs some help. How can a person be so cocksure of hisself? I was so angry and annoyed at my very first morning because it started with Creepy-Ace! The only good thing was, he leave after he rub the hugging part in my face. Thanks god.

I took a deep breath and closed my eyes for a second to calm down. Than I started to walk out as well. When I was out of the lift I turned my head back and thanked the old man for his work and made my way directly into my room.

Layla was already in the university and I was happy finally being alone. I sat on my bad and let go a deep breath. I wanted to stay in my bad. I wanted to sleep. I wanted to process the incidents in the damn lift with Ace. But I could not miss anymore lectures. The first two lectures I did already miss and if I wanted to be on time for at least the forth lecture, I needed to take a bath now and get ready.

Unwillingly I made my way to the bathroom to get ready for this day and when I was satisfied I took my bag and went to the University.

When I arrived at the class for creative writings I detected Layla and rushed to her.

„Hey, where have you been all the night and in the morning?“, she greeted me and took her bag from the sit.

„Hey. I am so done with yesterday, please do not ask me now. I am really not in the mood.“ I rolled my eyes and sat beside her.

Layla looked at me in disbelieve but nodded her head and turned it back to the class. Luckily the teacher entered right after that and started the lecture.

Mr. Smith was an really good and understanding teacher and I approved it. We got the task to write a short story about whatever we wanted till the next lesson, so he can get a feeling how good or bad we already are. I loved it to write and normally I would have thousands of idea what to write about, I the last day and the morning was still buzzing in my head and it was so heard for me to stay concentrated.

After the lecture we had lunch break and we made our way to the cafeteria to get some Pizza for lunch. I was starving, because I did not eat anything all day.

We entered the cafeteria and Layla was telling me everything that happened at the party after I left. She was still a bit sorry, because Madison loosed the control and made me leave, but I told her, that I was not mad and already forgot about it.

When we turned around to find a place where we could sit, I detected the whole clique sitting together and gaping at us. Including Ace. And Madison. My mood changed rapidly. I was hoping, that they would not want us to join them but as always exactly that happened. Rima waved at us to come sit with them and she already did take her bag away from one of the sits to show us that there was enough place for the two of us.

„Lets go to them!“ Layla smiled and I followed her unwillingly.

When we reached there table, I heard some ‚Hi‘s and I greeted back shortly. We sat on the chair and I avoid to look up at any of them. Layla was already talking with Rima and I took my slice of pizza and started to eating, looking busy.

„The party yesterday got very funny when you leaved Bella. What a shame!“ Madison made sure that she was loud enough for me to hear her.

What a b***h!

I looked up from my slice of pizza and shot her an ironic look.

„Interesting, Madison. Really interesting.“ I rolled my eyes at her. I wanted to rub the fact, that I was together with her crush the whole night so bad in her face. But it would sound like I enjoy it, wich was not true! And I did not need Ace to get the wrong idea. My eyes catch him in that moment and he was looking at Madison with an I-Know-What-You-Are-Doing-Madison look on his face. And it gave me satisfaction. Madison, on the other side, was looking pissed from me to him. But her eyes stayed fixed on him.

Just when I was about looking back at my food my eyes picked the horrified face experience of Noe, who was constantly gaping on his phone.

„Noe? Is .. everything okay?“ I asked with a worried tone in my voice. But Noe was frozen. Not moving an inch or saying anything. Soon everyone noticed his terrible state and all eyes were on him. I immediately looked to Ace, who was sitting right beside him. He moved with his head, wanting to prying at his screen, but in that moment his phone started to ring. He took it out of his jacket an looked at his screen before he gazed at us confused. I could not bear the strain any longer. What was going on here?

Ace stood up from his sit and picked the call at the same time. I could just hear how he greeted the caller astonished and walked out of the cafeteria. My eyes were fixed at him, because I started to have a really bad feeling and it scared me as hell. I only wanted to follow him, but it would look wired. He was still Ace. And I was still Bella. No matter if I was worried about him or not. I could not bring it.

I was pulled out of my worried thoughts about Ace, when I heard a loud sound of something crashing on the floor and Someone screaming in shock. I flinched at the same second and turned my eyes to the direction of it, to see how Noe lay senseless on the floor with his phone beside him upside down.

„Someone call the emergency!“ Rima cried out loud and kneeled beside him, shaking him and trying to wake him up. My breath stuck in my throat. I wanted to move my hands to call the emergency but I could not. I was frozen on my place.

„What just happened?!“ Madison started yelling frantically and pulled her phone out, I guess to call the emergency. I started to have the dim feeling, that I had to take a look on his phone. The bad feeling in me got worser and worser and I did not know if it was because the thing I am going to find on his phone or the fact that I am going to do it without his agreement.

Without realizing it, I stood up from my chair, took two steps to his phone, knelt down and picked it up. And when I saw the page with the news on his phone the blood in my vein froze immediately. The only thing that got up in my mind in the same moment was none other than Ace.
