WEEK 2: How to design Characters.

STEP 1: Design Background

Mason was born into the Sanders family. His family was involved in every type of business. Mason's mother died when he was five years old. He was raised by his father's second wife.

Though he was not mistreated when growing up, he was never shown love either.

Mason's father dictated everything he had to do and Mason worked so hard to gain his father's attention and make him proud. Alas, it was all in vain. All the attention went to his half brother Liam, who got everything Mason ever wanted.

Mason grew up to be a cold hearted and a loveless man, the only thing he was good at was work, and that's what he did after inheriting his father's company.

STEP 2: Personality

Because of being told exactly what to do since age five, Mason was wired to obey orders. He could not help himself and it was something he hated and why he was always angry.

Mason always forced himself to do the opposite of what he was told to do, he always went against himself when he did not agree with the orders he was given and because of this he came off as arrogant and proud.

Mason always had to work for what he had, unlike his brother Liam who was offered everything on a platter, including a seat at the high table of the company.

This fueled Mason's anger even more though he did not show it. He always wore a neautral expression on his face which made it hard to see what he was thinking.

Mason was a man who never talked much, he was always alone growing up so it was something he was accoustomed to. He had trust issues and never made friends, he always did things according to the book and for him friends were a distraction.

STEP 3: Physical Features

Mason was the exact replica of his father, the only difference was that, he had his mother's eyes. He was 27 years old. He had short, black hair and green eyes. His was tall and of a lean and muscular build. He accentuated his build by working out and it was noticable, he was gorgeous with his broad shoulders and long legs, Thor could play Mason in a movie.

STEP 4: Social Relationship

Noah Sanders

Mason's Father and former owner of D&D Ltd. The man who was never present in Mason's life and ushered him to grow the way he did.

Olivia Sanders

Mason's step mother. The woman who was supposed to fill in for his mother after she died and give him the love he required but she did not even acknowledge him.

Liam Sanders

Mason's half brother. Though Mason did not hate his brother he did not like him as well, after all, it was because of him that father did not consider him when growing. Liam took Mason's place in is father's life and he did not want anything to do with Mason. That was the main reason Mason never wanted anything to do with Liam.

Lucas Danish

Lucas was Mason's secretary and the only person had close to a friend. They had worked together from the time Mason took over the company and they had formed a bond. Because of Mason's trust issues, he never let anyone into his life for long and Lucas was the only one who stood the test of time.
