Six PM. A black Maybach pulled up in front of an upscale private styling salon in Manhattan. I was ushered inside. Two assistants led me straight to the VIP room. The styling director wheeled in a rack of clothes, holding a single dress that had already been pressed. "Miss Chloe, Mr. Sterling specifically requested this one." I looked at the dress and froze. It was a deep green silk gown. Minimalist cut, body-hugging silhouette. A month ago, V had asked me on w******p what color clothes I liked. I'd answered casually: Deep green. It suits me best. I watched the stylist hang the dress in the fitting room. My chest tightened. Why would the head of Sterling Group have someone prepare a deep green dress for me? Was this a coincidence? With all the colors in the world, he picked this one
