Epilogue
All the reports were written, typed up, and the case was turned over to the District Attorney. Their job was done. There were only a few loose ends that Knutson and Cotter would have to wrap up.
The three of them met in Knutson’s office. Watching Keplar looking out the window studying the beautiful city of Minneapolis, “I suppose you are going back to peaceful Brooklyn Center, where our two recent crime sprees began.”
Turning and smiling, “it’s what I truly long for. It’s where I want to raise my family. Rose is very happy there. What more could a man hope for?”
When Mick got home, he found Rose dressed and ready to take him out for dinner. “Where we going?”
“To one of your favorite spots and I’m driving.” Ten minutes later they pulled into the drive-in, it was closed.
