Chapter 16
The birds and squirrels were fighting over the bird feeder. Only the birds could eat from the feeder, but they dropped so much on the ground that the squirrel seemed to be satisfied. Getting out of his truck, Keplar looked up and saw Mrs. Anderson watching him from a second-story window. He waved and she held up one finger indicating it would be a moment. He continued to watch the birds and now just one squirrel until she opened the front door and asked him in.
“Is there any chance that I could go through Michael’s room?”
“Why, what are you looking for?
“To see if there is anything that would help us discover who killed him and the others.”
“Okay, I was just straightening out his room. I’ll take you up.” Once in the room, “I’ll leave you to look around. Will meet you
