Chapter 29When Felicity’s records finally arrived, she’d almost forgotten about them. The superintendent of her building had collected them when she’d been attending to her mother’s affairs in Ajax, and then she’d not been able to return the super’s call since they were on completely different schedules. Over a month after they finally arrived, Felicity had the chance to crack open the brown envelope and look at what the doctors had said about her years earlier. It was as moving and as earth-shattering as she thought it would be. She was enchanted by the medical jargon which turned the scattershot array of numbers in her file into official diagnoses: fainting due to hyponatremia; a resting heart rate of 45, BMI of 16.4, and of course, the most upsetting diagnosis of all: anorexia nervosa
