Daniel looked at Ava with concern, the doubt burning in his chest. "Did you see who it was?" Ava inquired, in the same state as him. "I couldn't see; everything happened too quickly," he replied, pacing back and forth, then heading to the door latch to try and open it himself. "It's unlocked; the damn scoundrel who did this removed the key." Daniel started breathing heavily. Ava noticed it immediately and approached him, reflexively placing her hands on her fiancé's upper back, lightly massaging to try to soothe his frustration. "I have no idea what happened either, Daniel, although it was in very poor taste, especially because gossip seems to be the hobby of the people in this company.
