It was such a relief to sit with Jori and Kiria together that Bard almost forgot his worry. Almost. He never truly let it go.
Tesni and Candrae hadn’t come back and the thought of the serving girl flushed his face with concern. The plan had been mostly his idea. Candrae was about the same height and build as Kiria, and they needed a decoy for the Tanyu to follow while a Kingdom soldier friendly to their side brought Kiria back to the camp. It was imperative that the Tanyu not follow her here.
