The cliff overlooking the ocean is breathtaking, and the maple and oak trees lining the highway become thicker the higher we climb. Sasha grips my waist and leans into me as I take the turn, like she’s always belonged on the back of my bike. When I move, you move. I smile and think to myself, that’s my girl, as I head towards Escondido Falls. There’s a small parking lot at the base of the trail and I pull in, cutting the engine. I hit the kickstand and wait until Sasha gets off. My favorite part of having Sasha on my bike is watching as she takes the helmet off, shaking out her blonde hair that flies around her face and settles on her shoulders. She smiles at me, figuring out what I’m doing and blushes
