Elara’s POV
I got home with a clear mind but as soon as I got into my room, I felt uneasy, I felt so much wind on my skin but my windows are closed. I stood there feeling light as the wind became thicker, I took out the necklace from my bag and it was glowing as I expected, but what I did not expect was what happened after. The wind in the room closed my door shut with force, then I noticed I was feeling very light now and that was because my feet was not on the ground. In that instant within the blink of an eye I saw myself in a field with fine grown green grass then looking further I could see a dark forest, there was nothing like a green pasture on the other end, it was very foggy, I could hardly see where it led to. Due to the unexplainable wind I fell when it dropped me, the necklace did not stop glowing instead it was pointing towards the foggy forest. I looked around and saw that I had been here before but there was no such thing as this in sight.
I got up dusting myself and I went in, following the direction of the necklace.
Everything looked so off and different, I brought my phone out of my pocket and used it as a torch, I looked up wondering why everywhere was so dark when it’s not even nighttime, but I still couldn't see if there was sun or not because of the fog. I can't keep moving further i might get lost, so I turned round but to my surprise all I could see was fog, I kept moving back in hopes of getting out but I swear It felt like I was lost. I called my best friend since I still had service on my phone, and told her to come meet me at the other field not too far from the park, because that is where I remember seeing this mystic forest appear.
I was still trying to find my way out until I got to a point where it felt like I've been here before. I tried recalling until I closed my eyes trying very hard to remember then I had a flash back from my dream, but this time the lady who was running I saw her face very clearly and I saw an older me, I think. I could see my face in the face I had seen. I opened my eyes because of the vibration from my phone and saw a text from Rose saying she's there but she can't see me, she also tracked my phone and it's showing I'm there but she is not seeing me. I started panicking. I can't be stuck here. Out of anger I removed the necklace and threw it to the ground. I broke down in tears.
I cried till my eyes felt swollen and I fell asleep on the wet sand only to be woken up by a lady, she looked very elegant, slim and beautiful, she has this existing aura around her that screams self-worth.
She noticed I was crying and she had to squat to my level to ask what was wrong, her voice was filled with genuine concern. “What is your name?” she asked me
“My name is Elara” I answered her while sniffing and trying to control my tears.
“My name is Lilith. It is such a wonderful pleasure meeting you. But if I may ask, why are you crying”
I told her I was trying to go back the the greener field but nothing seems to be working. The thought of it made me cry more and louder.
“Heyyy it's okay, not everyone has mastered going in and out of Thaloria. The trick is you have to really believe it before you can see it. Just daywalkers, werewolves and witches have the privilege of going to the other side”.
My eyes widened at her response, I was still trying to process what she had said then she asked me another question. “Are you another daywalker or a werewolf or a witch? I think you're a witch because I would have been able to pick up a scent.”
I just stared at her puzzled, I just kept staring at her until I noticed her uniquely structured set of teeth, she had fangs like those of a vampire in all those supernatural novels. She didn't look scary, she is very beautiful but I was still very cautious and I never said another word.
I didn't care if she had something more to say, I closed my eyes and started wishing to go back home, I felt her come closer saying “You dropped your gem, you'll need it” then she helped put it on. My eyes were still closed in hopes that she had gone and the way home is opened. Out of fear and discomfort, I kept on rubbing the jewel gently, I opened my eyes and I saw the way out. I ran so fast to avoid it vanishing into thin air again.
I saw my best friend and hugged her from behind. “You don't know how much I have missed you”, then I turned to see if the foggy forest was showing but it's all gone, like it never happened.
“Elara you're hugging to tight” Rose’s words snapped me right back into reality.
“Where were you?” Rose asked
“If I explain it to you right now, you will think I’m crazy or that I need some sort of help. I will explain better when we leave this place.
