illiam wasn’t the type of person Jake thought much about. Not anymore. Since turning his back on Eversmile and becoming a heretic, Jake hadn’t really heard much about the young metal mage who had turned his tutorial into a shitshow. Sure, in the back of his mind, Jake probably knew he was doing stuff somewhere, but he hadn’t been someone worth dedicating much brainpower to.
So it came as a genuine surprise when the mage wanted to meet Jake. His timing was also highly suspicious, being this close to the Prima Guardian event. Jake didn’t think he was there to sabotage them, though, as if he was, going through Miranda and wanting to meet him was perhaps the dumbest strategy.
Nevertheless, Jake was suspicious.
