CHAPTER 9: A PLAY THING

The couple were having a really good time, playing around each other like small kids, going shopping, especially at night hours, Leo was afraid of exposing her to people he didn't trust. She has become his weakness, so , he didn't want his enemies to know his weakness, lest they kidnap and use het to threaten him into compromising somethings. He don't even know how she will take it when she realises that he is not as simple as he made her believe. He knows she trusts him completely, and he also knows how much of a risk is for her if she knows some things, it's better if she doesn't know for now.

He wants so much to hide all this from her, but he knowing what kind of person Shantel is, Lena will know in no time, he wants to tell her so much, but in a way that will not shock her. Lena is a very smart woman too. She knows this man is hiding something, but she can't guess what it is. she has secretly scanned through his phone but she didn't find anything suspicious. ' I Will wait for him to tell me by himself ' She reasonably thought in her heart.

" You are not asleep?" A familiar voice snapped her back and she tried as much as she could not to show that she was in a trance just now. "No, I was waiting for you" She pretended to be calm, but actually, her heart was racing and beating so fast that she could hear it.Leo teased her, "Oh? You want us to do exercises? Good because I'm soo ready babe." Her blush did not escape his eyes, but who is Lena , She pretended that she is not affected by the way he teased her at all. " Who wants to exercise with you? Dream on." And she blushed again, she very well know what ' exercise ' means. He loves to see her blushing every now and then when he says something intimate. He just wanted her to forget the bad experience she had the other day at school. He has been avoiding the topic but made sure to accompany her, even he didn't go to work, he finished his work in the study on time every day, his assistant would come to collect important documents in secret without Lena's knowledge. " Well," he started after a long pause, "Get some sleep babe, you are going back to school tomorrow remember? I don't want to try anything now, just for now." She slid in the guilt, gave him a good night kiss on his cheeks and slumbered shortly after.

The next day at school, the woman who wanted to see her prey so much did not waste her time. She came straight away where Lena was seated perusing through the notes given to her by her bestie, with her bodyguards tailing behind her, she had this arrogance that a normal human being should never have. " Hey, You bitchy little s**t, why do you like crossing my path everywhere I go?" Lena was taken a back by the shrieking familiar but unfamiliar voice behind her. "Miss, how did I cross your path when you're the one who came to me?" Lena retorted, she didn't want to be taken advantage of by unimportant people. Before she even had a chance to utter another word, she saw a hand in the air, coming towards her face again, like the other day, she dorched just a little and she hard a thud in the room, tut, tut, a certain woman was lying flat on her stomach, her bodyguards hurried to help her up but she slapped their hands away. She seemed to be in pain, but didn't want to show it. She glared at Lena hoping to intimidate het but she was disappointed to see her seating back as if nothing happened. She was clearing the table and ready to leave, how can she be ignored like that by a nobody? she won't agree.

Shantel decided she will not waste her time on this, she has to let her know who she is. "Stop right there!" She was seething in anger, "Don't think that just because my Leo protects you a little, he is into you, you are just a play thing to him, when he gets tired of you, he will still leave you. "Booom" This came like a shock to Lena and she was too shocked that she lost her voice. When she found her voice again, she stammered......" You....You nnn....know....know Leo?" She felt her knees failing her and she sat back to her seat. "So, all these is all about Leo?" She asked the woman before her with a trembling voice. Shantel on the other hand was enjoying the show with a smirk on her face. She liked the effect of her words on Lena. She felt so good and proud of what she just saw. So, she got more energy forgetting the pain coming from her sprained leg, limping towards Lena, and with a punch in her voice, she proudly replied, " Yes, I know Leo, right from three years old, he was my best friend, and my childhood sweetheart. Look at you, when did you know him? And you are shamelessly living in his house? He is f*****g mine and you better scram from his life or else I Will go after your f*****g family, I will make sure you feel the pain."Lena trembled and she could not control it, She shouted at Shantel, " Don't you dare involve my family." She pointed at Shantel with a shaking finger but the latter knew she hit Lena's weak spot, so she continued, " Oh? what would you do? You should know that you're not a match to me, so you better surrender before things get out of hand bitch."
