CHAPTER 16: BEEN USED

Leo and Lena had a wonderful weekend, he didn't want this time to pass quickly. Always wanted to accompany her every time and everywhere. No one knew how they felt about each other, only them could tell how they don't want to miss even a second of each other's company. Leo's phone rang in the middle of the night, he fumbled his hands in the dark until he reached it, without even looking at it, he lazily answered with an irritated husky voice, " Who is it?" The person on the other end was sobbing. She started, "Leo.... you son of a b***h, how dare you implicate me and make the government to deport me back? And I'm not even allowed to come back to that country, I have been banned because of you, You will regret this! I have to finish what I started. " Leo got the last sentence perfectly well, but he said to her emotionlessly, " You deserve it, this time you were lucky to be deported only, but I promise you, if you dare me again, You will join your father in jail." He hung up before she retorted.

"f**k you Leo!" Shantel barked at her home back in US, she had been coerced again by her ex husband into putting Leo in trouble by befriending him again. They only pretended to have divorced and Leo was very much aware of that. He just decided to act dumb. If he can be fooled once again, then he doesn't qualify to be a CEO of such a big company. He could have let her do all the nonsense in her head, but the moment she touched his Lena, she had f****d up big time. And now, she was mad because she can't reach him again.

Lena woke up when she heard his phone call, but pretended as if she hear it, mainly because she didn't want him to go out just answer , so she laid still, and she heard every thing. " How the hell did you implicate Shantel for her to be deported and get banned? That must be a serious thing Leo!" Leo trembled because of the sudden sound from the supposedly "asleep" Lena. He stablised himself quickly and turned to her in the dark room. " How come you are awake?" I thought you were asleep girl, you startled the heck out of me." He ranted with his hand on his chest. "You are dodging my question Leo." He was trying to change the subject, but she insisted, how come she is worried about someone who took her through hell? He knows well what Shantel had done to his Lena, and also knew that if he doesn't do something he might not be able control the situation in future.

Leo reached for the lights and switched on, He sat up and helped Lena lean on his chest comfortably. He thought he should not hide anything from her or else he will have much explaining to do in future, so , he might as well explain now. " Lena" He started and posed to attract her attention. " I will tell you, but don't be mad." Lena nodded indicating for him to continue. " I know some good officials from the immigration office, so , when Shantel annoyed me so much, I didn't think of hurting her, but I send someone to steal her immigration papers including her passport and important documents. Being in any country without all these is illegal, I also submitted the photos of us that was found in her possession, so , she had one or two crimes on her account and was deported immediately she stepped out of our door that night."

Lena was really surprised by his thinking, he went straight at what could help Shantel stay here and made her be labelled ' Dangerous ' that was quite a thinking. She took a deep breath and answered him with satisfaction, "Oh, that was is it? I thought its something like drugs and I was just wondering where you got 'that', it's okay then let's sleep, good night. " Leo thanked his God that Lena didn't get mad and he slept with her in his arms till morning.

Lawrence was early today as usual and was surprised to see his boss in the office earlier than him." Good morning boss." He said in a low tone and glanced sideways in the corners of his eyes to study his moods before he started to report. His boss has not been in the office for almost a week. He even thought he has abandoned his company for a woman, but he was very happy to see Leo having time for himself after a very long time. Leo noticed his assistant stealing glances at him. He thought he will say something but as he waited, he only continued glancing at him secretly. He could not take it anymore, " What is it? Any problem Lawrence?" His assistant did not expect to be discovered, he jumped and stood alert, gathered his courage and said, "No sir. I want you to know I'm happy for you, you're finally in a relationship and yes, your grandparents knows too, through Shantel of course." Leo looked up at him at the mention of his grandparents, he asked in surprise, " They know!? How the hell did they know?" He wanted to surprise them when he goes to visit them, but Shantel ruined every possibility of it becoming a surprise. He was glad his assistant is always well informed, he might have get embarrassed instead of surprise.

Lawrence explained, " When Shantel got deported, She went straight to them to report you, and she said you did that to her because of Lena, who is apparently ' After your money '. But they dismissed her right away obviously, they still resent her for her betrayal to you. The problem is, Shantel doesn't seem to know that she made a mistake somehow, or she is just shameless.
