Chapter 7

Sage's POV

    I walk out of the kitchen and find Liam again. He could tell the annoyance on my face as I rub my neck. It still kinda stings. Her fangs were sharp. 

    “What the hell happened in there? I heard a loud crash and then a thud. And I even smelt blood that wasn’t yours.”

     “Some vampire chick attacked me and drank my blood. So I had to throw her off. She hit a wall and then fell onto the floor. She blacked out pretty fast. It's weird though because I thought she would have stayed awake longer. She must have been pretty weak.”

    Liam just sighs and rubs my back. 

    “Well, I'm sorry that happened to you. But I do have some good news. I can sense my mate is somewhere in town! I have a pull that gets stronger whenever she's near and right now it's like something is pulling me towards them. But there's only one problem, there are a whole lot of people close to us so I can't tell who it is exactly. But I must find her!”

    “Well that's great, but I must go now. I have a vampire to deal with. I will see you later at the final feast tonight.” I just walk off waving and head towards the dungeon. 

    I walk into the room and she is already awake. I can sense the fear in her. She deserves to feel this fear. She f****d with the wrong guy. And now she has to deal with her consequences.

    I start looking her up and down. Her ass and t**s are perfect. Like damn. Her body looked like an angel. She was one hell of a vampire. I wonder what her power is. I took her gag out and she immediately started to plead for her life. What the hell, does she think I'm going to kill her? I'm the son of the original devil but I'm not even that dark, like damn. 

     “Oh my. You think I would kill you! I am not going to, well at least not yet.” I wanted to scare her even more than she already was. She looks relieved. The slight smile she gives kinda makes me smile. “You are going to pay back the blood you took by working for me. You will work as my servant and my mistress.”

She looks kinda pleased but at the same time, I can sense the anger rising in her. She did not like that idea but that didn’t matter to her. It mattered to me and that idea was quite great. I turn and walk to the guard and tell him to get a servant to inject her with a numbing serum. It mimics the effects of silver on vampires just minus a few minor side effects. He just nods and I leave. That was quite fun I will admit. 

    I see two little maids run past me. They are from the hospital ward we have in this castle. They quickly move away from me. I know they are afraid of me. And that doesn’t bother me. It's the reputation that my father made for us. We are tough on the outside and when we get close to someone we are really nice and sweet. But the people that I rule over must not know that. The only person who knows the true me is Liam and he swore to me that he would never tell anyone. Hell, my parents don't even fully know the true me. My mother comes close to knowing but she doesn’t know all. 

    I go and find Elizabeth. I need her to bathe that girl and get her changed into some new clothing that is looser and more comfortable. I headed to my office and there she was. It's like she knew I needed to talk to her. 

    “Elizabeth, how are you?”

    “Sage, just get to the chase. What do you need to be done? I am a busy woman you know.”

    I loved her attitude towards me. She's the only one allowed to say things like this to me without getting punished. “I have a girl being brought to my room. Please bathe her and get her into something more comfortable. She is paralyzed in her body and most likely blacked out. So it should be easy. Please set her in my room and then keep all away from my room. Until I call someone because I want no one near that room while she's unconscious.”

    She just nods and waves herself away. That woman is a lifesaver sometimes. I have no clue what I would do without her. She honestly is such a bad b***h sometimes. She taught me most things a normal mom would teach. She knew that my mother couldn’t be around so she took her place whenever she could. I love her for that. I don't know what I would do without her.
