My New Family

Ana had dressed in the clothing that ade had placed on the bed before she left that morning, she left the room and made her way down the hall towards the small voices and murmurs she could hear. When ana reached the end of the hallway she saw 3 people at the large looking picnic table with Sam and Ade in the kitchen cooking breakfast. She was shy, silent almost. It was the floorboards creaking that alerted the pack to her presence. Sam and Ade paused briefly before resuming the cooking for the pack. James glanced at the two in the kitchen before getting up, rounding the table and walking over to the little girl, bending down to her level. Ana wore children's joggers, socks, a white t-shirt with a child-like sun printed on it and finally a zip-up hoodie. Her bob haircut was slightly messy so James reached forward and fixed it with gentle fingers.  "Hey there. My Names James. Sam has asked me to take care of you today. I'm under specific orders to help you have as much fun as you can. Is there anything you'd like to do?" he asked her in a soft, cooing tone. Calm. Ana pondered a moment on the thought, looking down at her clasped hands. "I've been waiting all week for my adopted brother Clay to teach me how to play football. He been busy with his studies all week and hadn't had the time." She said glancing from her hands back to the male. "Do you think clay would be mad if you taught me?" she asked him. James smiled the smallest sweetest smile the broad werewolf could muster. "No Ana I don't think he'd mind at all. Actually, I think he'd be proud of you for learning It all on your own," he said with a small smile. He stood up and coughed slightly letting his more gruff side back out. "Ill find the football, but you need to sit down and have your breakfast. What would you like Ana?" he asked as he looked over towards sam and Ade. "Good Morning, Ana." sam would say with a warm smile. Ana for the first time since they met, smiled back. She liked Sam. Sam was warm and safe. "Can I have some raw meat?" Ana asked looking at sam. Ade and Sam glanced at each other as if to say 'Did you just hear that?' Sam frowned slightly. "Are you sure Ana? That can give you a sore belly," he said pursing his lips slightly. Ana nodded eagerly before walking over to where Effy and Judas Were sat. She grunted as she worked her way onto the stool. James had to help her. "Morning Ana," Judas said with a smile. Judas had jet black hair, pale skin and bright, clear ocean blue eyes. He was easy to look at. Effy on his left didn't look so nice. As sam walked over to ana and placed a small plate down with a few raw chicken wings on, Effy looked at the child in disgust. "Sam this isn't right. We shouldn't be protecting this..Creature." She said, her attitude laced with venom.
