The silver-grey Mercedes-Benz C300 cruised down the freeway, traveling south. You were sitting in the front passenger seat with so much soft leather around you that you could barely hear the 389 horsepower with 2.0L 4-Cylinder petrol engine... At eighty miles per hour, the engine was only idling. But you could feel the power of the car. One touch from the unsmiling man next to you and the Mercedes would leap forward. This was a car that sneered at speed limits. This was an expensive car. A very expensive one.
You only watched in silence your husband driving, without awareness of the road or the rain, the car moved over the highway, lights on full beam. You watched how the yellowed yet bright light played in the droplets, showing this deluge, this flood from the sky.
"It's raining pretty bad." you said trying to break the awkward silence while you faced the window from a better look at the outside.
"As if this day could have been worse." The man answered still focusing on the road.
"So, did I just learned that you're not a winter person?" you smiled looked at him noticing that he stopped the car because of the red light, Aidan turned to face you with the left side of his faint red lip tugged upwards creating a sinister smirk on his god-like face, casting a spell of lust to eyes that dare look his way. Broken or not, taken or not, any girl's cheeks would light up and you were no exception.
"I see you want to know things about me now!" He smiled keeping the smirk.
"Well, I can't say I am not looking forward to getting to know you better." you returned the smile and looked forward before cutely chuckling, "Better wasn't the word I should have used, all I know is your name."
"And that I don't like it when it rains." He corrected and laughed starting to drive again as soon as the green light went on. "But it's risky you know..."
"Risky?" You questioned when he nodded.
"Yeah, getting married like this without asking few questions." He said with a sense of joking in his tone. "Like... What if you were . . . . . Like a criminal or something."
You laughed, "Well, no offence but if I were a criminal I would be the one driving a Mercedes now instead of getting inside one for the first time in my 23 years of living in this life, wouldn't I, sir?"
The man chuckled and nodded, "Make sense."
You both laughed before he started speaking again, "So, you're 23?" He asked and looked at you for about 3 seconds before focusing on the road again.
You nodded, "Yes, you?"
"Same." He immediately told you with the little rise in the corner of his mouth came again.
"Oh!" You nodded understanding.
"Well, it's kinda better that he is 23 right? At least you two can be a friends..."
You honestly wanted to ask more questions but you felt weird being the only one wanting that, "maybe he doesn't want to get closer to you!" After all, you two aren't married for real nor you'll live together since he was driving you back to your house right went the wedding ends, people think you two were going to his house or a nice hotel but... You weren't really married nor you know the man, which was a good decision since you were about to get nervous with the thought that he might suggest to live together with you.
"Alright... Back to my old life." You thought.
Aidan stopped the car next to the building you live in and looked up, "This is where you live?" He asked and you just nodded while taking off the seat belt.
"Well, this is goodbye I guess!" You bite your lips and looked down holding on your wedding dress.
The man took about 5 seconds before he answered. "I guess... " Aidan sighed.
"I know we met in a strange way... Share our little secret and now we're ... M-Married." You painfully chuckled before speaking again. "But, that doesn't mean we can't be friends, right?" You looked at the handsome man who was looking at you lost in his thought.
You waited for his answer but awkwardly laugh when he didn't.
"Seems that he doesn't want to be f... "
Before you finish the thought he spoke, "Do you want a drink?"
"Hmm?"
He awkwardly laughs and rubbed the back or his hair, "You know... It was an h-hard day for both of us, and I well probably go to have a drink so... I thought it would be nice if we drunk together since we can... relate?" He said.
You thought for a few seconds, "Y-yes. It would be nice to drink with you..." You answered and he smile with a nod. After all, if you went home alone now, you'll ended up crying yourself to sleep for God knows how many days.
"Alright... But... mmm... your d-dress!" He looked at your white dress and you laughed.
"It would be weird for an obvious bride to go to the bar, right?"
"Right." He agreed and you two laughed together. "You can go change, I will wait here... "
"Okay... " You said before walking off the car thanking God the rai has stopped.

Aidan took his phone out of his pocket and sighed when he found a message from Anne...
[ I am sorry I had to ] - From: Baby
His jaw rooted before deleting her number before throwing the phone in the back seat. The man's fists clenched when he punched the steering wheel.
"She could have waited one day... Just one day." He said to himself.

After a few minutes, he saw you coming out of the building, wearing black tight jeans, a red shirt, black converse, and a black coat.
He couldn't help but to check your body as you run toward the car scared that the rain will start any second after hearing the thunder.
You entered the car and apologized for being late. Aidan stared at you, "You removed your makeup?"
"Hmm?" you blinked and looked at him, "Ahh yes, I did... d-do I look that bad?" You cupped your face in your hands.
"Oh? No.. No.. No.. " He waved his hands in a NO gesture. "Just the opposite, I swear... " He laughed.
You laughed when he panicked, "Relax man, not that I care about my look now, I am going to drink not to seduce somebody."
He awkwardly laughs before started the car engine, "But I was serious, you do look good." He smirked and looked at you. "Some men prefer the cute type, which what you are now." He winked and laughed.
"Oh really?" You shook your head and looked to the window, "Second thing I learned about you, Mr. Aidan Knight prefer the sexy type."
"I won't hide it." He laughed at the way you were carefully picking up words from what he says just to know things about him, usually if you were someone else he would think you were trying to get closer to him in a flirting way but he was staring at you and carefully noticing your moves and looks at you and none was the kind he usually gets from girls. You weren't trying to impress him not to get his attention, you just being friendly.
Aidan can't say this doesn't hurt his pride but considering the situation you two were put at, it was better this way, he wasn't trying to get you or get involved in another thing after Anne anyway.
Plus, his pride is wrong this time. You not being interested in him doesn't mean he lost his charm or anything, you were just another man's girl.
The man cheated on you, true... But your heart is still his.

It took about 20 minutes to get to the club that Aidan said it was nice but...
"Hmm.. Aidan?" You grabbed his jacket's sleeve to stop him from getting inside, Aidan looked behind him confused.
"Yes?" He blinked.
You faked a chuckle looking up at him before walking closer to whisper near his ear, "I agreed to come for a drink with a thought of us sharing the bill but I don't think I can afford anything from here." You blushed shyly while saying it.
"Sharing the bill with my wife on our first day of marriage? What kinda man will make me?" Aidan laughed and whispered back, "Don't worry about that, let's just get in."
"Wait.. wait.. " You stopped him again.
"I don't know how rich you are but money don't grow up on trees, andI don't want to use you to get drunk. Let's just go somewhere else, okay?"
The man sighed then out of nowhere held your hands and start dragging you inside.
"W-wait... A... " You gave up and walked behind him forgetting about the place and focused on his hands holding yours now.
Again, the second man after William.
Again... Totally different.
When William used to hold your hands, all you used to think was how they perfectly fit with yours. And everytime you feel nervous, your hands get cold and sweaty and like dead fish.
But with Aidan, you feel them getting warm and comfortable, Maybe because you don't have feelings for him?
While thinking of his and your ex's hands, Aidan already stopped next to a table in the corner and said, "Do you want to sit here or by the bar back there?" He pointed with his chin to the bar with many alcohol bottles.
"Amm... " You looked around to the people sitting around, all of them had classy for a club kinda clothes while you had your everyday ones.
"Let's go there better." You said and he nodded, letting your hand go and walked before you. You swallowed your breath not liking the feeling of his hand away but you shook the thoughts and followed.
You're already using his money, you can't use him as a man too...
You two sat in the stool by the bar, only three seconds passing and the bartender was already there.
"What can I get you?" The young handsome men asked.
Aidan looked at you as two men waited for you to order.
You bite your lips before speaking, "Anything light would be fine." You blushed shyly, Aidan raised his eyebrow.
"Light?" He asked confused. "I thought we're here to get drunk?"
You laughed, "I have low alcohol tolerance..."
"Oh!" He nodded understanding then turned to the bartender. "Hmm.. Get me the usual, and for the lady... Rum will be fine."
The ma nodded and walked to make you two of your drinks.
"The usual?" You asked. "So, you come here a lot?"
Aidan nodded, "The owner of this club is my friend, so I feel more comfortable here than any other club in the city."
"Y-your friend owns THIS?" You blinked shocked. "Wow... What kinda life did I get myself into?" You joked.
Before letting him speak, your eyes widened, "Wait... You mentioned criminals before, are you.... hmm" You put your hand on your mouth pretending to be shocked and he just laughed.
"Well, I can't say I have nothing to do with them... " Aidan winked.
"Oh My... "
"Here's your drinks. " The bartender came with two glasses. "Michter's Barrel Bourbon Whiskey for you Mr. Knight, and Rum for the lady." The man smiled.
"Thank you..." You returned the smile when he bowed and left.
Aidan took a sip right away but you just looked at him, "Chill, I don't do anything illegal, don't worry..." He laughed.
"Really?" You looked at him suspiciously. "What do you do then?"
"I am a lawyer." He took a business card from his pocket and put it near you. You immediately took it and read it.
(Lawyer Aidan Knight, Owner and Founder of Knights Law Firm)
"Oh!" You nodded. "So, you're a lawyer. That's cool... " You smiled and put the card back where he put it.
"Happy now?" He smiled.
"Yeah, I wasn't thinking back then." You laughed and took a sip of your drink then sighed and looked around. "I could have been in the worst problem than a fiance cheating if you were a gangster or something... "
"Well, happy I wasn't. " He said. "If it happens and you killed that ex of yours or his mistress, give me a call and I will help." He winked and took another sip.
Hearing him saying that ruined your mood, putting the drink down you sighed and looked down thinking of the word he used to describe one of your best friends.
"She's one of my best friends... " You whispered and he noticed the change in your eyes. "As stupid as it sounds... I am not mad at her." You painfully smiled.
"She slept with your man and you're not mad?" The man asked confused.
"Kelly was the first girl who came to talk to me when I get transferred to a new high school." You sighed and give him a sad smile. "I didn't know anyone and I wasn't a person who would make the first move, but she did."
Aidan didn't say a word and just listened.
"She came to me and became my friend, then I met my other friends because of her. So... my heart can't hate her even if I want." You tooked another sip.
"I don't thing I can relate to that." Aidan held his glass but didn't drink, he looked at his hand playing with it. "If my friend did that to me, I would send them to hell without even feel guilty for that."
You nodded watching his perfect jawline... "The man was so handsome."
"I feel disappointed rather than mad at her. " You spoke in a calm tone. "But at him... I... I d-don't know I g-guess." Your voice cracked at the end of your words threatening the point of your breakdown to start which Aidan noticed.
Aidan saw the way you looked at the other side, probably not wanting him to see you shade a tears, so stood up, "I will use the bathroom, be right back." He walked away and you immediately whipped the tear that fell from your cheeks not wanting to sound pathetic.

After a minute or two, you calmed down.
"Excuse me..." You heard the voice of a man saying so you turned to see him. "Can you tell me what time is it?" The kinda handsome man asked you.
"Oh! Wait... " You smiled and turned to open your purse to find you phone since you had no watch before jumping on a familiar voice whispering in your ear.
"See, I told you, some men prefer cuteness..." Aidan teased before holding your hand stopping you from opening the purse and raising it up showing the ring in your finger. "Sorry man, this is my wife."
"Oh! Sorry, my bad..." The man apologized and started to walk away.
"W-wait... The t-time..." You blinked before looking at Aidan. "I didn't tell him the time, he wanted to know the t...."
"Oh baby..." Aidan laughed and took his seat again, 'The last thing that guy wanted was not to know the time dear wife?"
You looked at him then behind to where the man left, "B-But he asked..."
Just how many men did you date?" Aidan smiled putting his elbow on the table and resting his chin on his hand.
"Why would you know?" You rolled your eyes and took a sip, "F-Four..."
"That ex of yours doesn't count..." Aidan smirked.
"T-Three then..." You blushed and avoided his stare.
"Middle school boyfriends don't count as well..." The man teased more.
You rolled your eyes and took a sip, "F-Fine... None... What's your point?"
Aidan laughed and shook his head, "I knew it..."
"What does that suppose to mean?" Your hands on your waist, you glared at him.
"Nothing wrong, just the fact that you didn't know the man was flirting made it obvious..." He teased again.
"F-Flirt?" You laughed, "Nah...He just wanted to k..."
"Know the time?" He cut your words. "Haven't you seen the watch in his hand?... Okay let's say it doesn't work, who these days don't have a phone. Plus my smart wife, you think he didn't notice the big ass wall clock above your head?"
You looked up and there was a big wall clock just where Aidan pointed, your cheeks turned red immediately from embarrassment and the fact that the man was flirting even though you were in a jeans and a shirt without even makeup. What happened this morning made you feel bad about yourself but the idea of someone thinking you were pretty can help a bit, "Right?"
You shook the embarrassment and decided to tease him too, he can't win in everything, "So! Even if he wanted to flirt, why would you send him away my dear husband?" You smirked. "Maybe... You want to have your chance with me or something?" You joked and he laughed taking another sips.
"No worries about that, if I wanted to get you, you'd be already in my bed right now."
