"The organs are intact. We can operate at any time." The busy, noisy commotion around me jolted me awake from my dream in an instant. A second before I regained consciousness, medically speaking, I was still a corpse. This was just a part of my plan. Four p.m., Sebastian showed up at the rental apartment right on schedule, just as I expected. At that time, I had no heartbeat, no pulse, and was practically indistinguishable from a dead person. After only a cursory examination, I was transferred to Dr. Moore's operating table.
