Chapter 14

131 Words

Sienna's POV: The fifth day, the sixth day, the seventh day... Xavier came every day, rain or shine. He got creative with the flowers he brought me—some store-bought, some hand-picked. He'd drop the flowers at the door and run off, only to hide behind a tree with Lance, watching from afar to see whether I'd take them inside. It got to the point where I'd get annoyed just seeing them show up, and the bouquet I was working on only went from bad to worse. I cut several stalks to pieces. When the neighbors saw this, they all urged me, "The father and son come every day. Just ease up a little." I put down the shears and said flatly, "Let whoever wants to budge, budge. I'm not budging."
