**Chapter 5** Very Funny

I couldn’t help but laugh.

“Very funny” I said “..... okay, who’s playing the prank”

Silence..... Absolute silence.

“Lyra i....” Ronan said but I cut him off.

“What’s this supposed to mean, I’m your mate for god’s sake, who’s she”.

“I’m so sorry., I didn’t mean to cause trouble I just....” The Ronan’s mate said in tears.

"Really? you're crying? That's bold. I should be the one crying here but somehow you've beaten me to it" I said as I left the scene. Too pained to remain there for another second.

Every one gasped, clearly in shock “This has never happened before” “He has two mates....”

“no I think the other girl is lying”

As I ran down the hall.

Pain, frustration and betrayal all flooded me. I felt so many emotion and I just wanted to let them all out.This just felt like a big joke to me.

I decided to go to the one place I go to release my emotions. The forest, the ancient oak to be precise. As I reach these, tears filled eyes, I grabbed my violin and began playing.

I closed my eyes and started playing very fiercely .I just need to release my bottled up emotions and this was my way of doing that.

I didn’t realise how long I’ve been playing. It was until I felt my surroundings getting hot and that’s when I looked around and opened my eyes.

I was shocked!!!

The whole forest was on fire.

“Was someone trying to kill me” I thought to myself. I had to leave immediately as the fire was getting closer. I just kept running and running till I couldn’t take it any more.

Just as I was about to fall and give up. A familiar strong pair of hands pulled me close and carried me up. It was Ronan.

“Stop, unless you're carrying me straight to the moon goddess so I can file a complaint,then put me down” I cursed as I struggled to get away from him but it was no use. He was so strong.

“Lyra listen to me, I didn’t know about any. of this” He said.

“Ohh Please just stop it, it’s obvious you knew she was your mate and decided to marry

me just so you can be the alpha of this kingdom"

I said filled with rage.

“That’s not true and you know it, we are

mates Lyra, Tell me you don’t feel it” He said

as he touched me “The sparks, you feel is real,

of course you’re my mate”.

Before I could process anything, he pinned

me against the wall and started kissing me. The

kiss felt forced, possessive as if he was trying to

make me believe this s**t.

His hands went inside my shirt and he

began to touch me in places he had never touched

thought before. “Tell me, you don’t want this

and I’ll stop” he said looking into my eyes.

Silence..... Absolute silence.

I couldn’t say I didn’t want this. I had dreamt of

this for a long time now...

“I’ll take your silence as a yes” He

said and wanted to continue but then I decided

to ask him this question.

“Are you going to accept her” I asked

He froze for a few seconds. He wanted

to say something but I cut him off.

“Do you have feelings for her, I saw the

way you looked at her” I confronted him.

“Lysa, listen it’s not...”

“Yes or no” I pressed on.

“How can I have feelings for someone I just met thirty minutes ago.....”

"Will you reject her?"

"What?? I can't just do that, I have to get to know her first"

“I see I have my answer, bye” I turned and left. I should have just stayed in the forest and burn there. than to hear this nonsense.

Goshhh

I felt so stupid.

How could my mate have feelings for another woman ?

Why does he even have two mates.

**Sophia’s POV**

I watched as the people looked at me with

disdain and disgust.

“How dare she lie to us, to the Alpha’s family” “That little witch certainly has some guts” The pack members murmured loudly so I could hear.

It’s not my fault, I wasn’t lying. I had been

with my little sister Ella all this while.

I had perceived the intoxicating scent of my mate and followed it

The Alpha had called for one due to how things

turned out. All the elders were summoned.

“I know you all witnessed what transpired

here and as you know we have to do something immediately. The floor is open to

suggestions” He said.

“Alpha, I think the other girl is lying,

it is not possible for an Alpha to have two

mates” Elder Malicia chipped in.

“No, the Alpha’s son confirmed it so it can’t

be a lie” argued another.

"We should just get rid of her so she doesn't cause more problems"

Elder Jax whispered something chilling
