I knock on Rachel’s door and wait.
‘Lexi! Hi, is everything ok?’
‘Yeah, can I come in?’
I walk into Rachel’s room and have a seat by the window
‘How are you?’
‘Shouldn’t I be asking that of you? Was the wedding everything you hoped?’
‘I’d never really been one to dream about weddings and happily ever after. Not something I ever thought was on the cards for me. But then I also never imagined Nate and I had no idea about wolves and mates’ I laugh
‘You didn’t know about mates?’
‘Nope, I was asleep in Nate’s bed, his mom had said I could crash for the night, I didn’t have anywhere to go and he was away, didn’t know he was heading home early, felt someone at the side of me, screamed, fell out of bed and there was Nate looking just as confused as me’ I smile at the memory
