Chapter 8 :Oh No

    "Hey mom!" I yelled as I walked into my house. "Yes sweetie." My mom says. "Is it okay if my friends come over to work on a science project with me?" I ask. "Of course honey." My mom says. "Thanks mom." "Honey who are these friends of yours?" My mom asks. "Just some boys from school, nothing will happen!" I say. "Okay sweetheart." My mom says while walking away. Just then there is a knock on the door. "Hey Adrian, Leo, and Jesse." I say letting them into the entrance where there is a table and chairs and a couple of couches. "Um before we get started on the project I." I was interrupted by a knock at the door. "I'll be right back." I tell them. "Oh hey Michael, Nick, Owen, and Victor, I'm glad you could make it." I say letting them into the entrance. "I was going to tell." I was interrupted by Michael and Adrian. "What are they doing here." Both Michael and Adrian say in unison while pointing at each others group. "Adrian when you asked I didn't know Michael was going to ask." "And Michael I was going to tell you but you walked away before I could tell you." "I'm so sorry." I say all of this in a quick voice. I turn around and my breathe quickens, soon I'm going to start having a panic attack. "Oh no, oh no." I say quietly on repeat. "Hey it's okay we were just surprised." Adrian says making me just because he right behind me. And now I'm surprisingly calm. "I didn't hear you guys walk towards me." I say trying to lighten the mood. "That's because we're light on our feet". Says Michael. "Okay." I say with a smile. "Guys can I ask you a question?" I ask the boys. "Sure." They say. What is it about that makes you get along." All of the boys are silent and are avoiding eye contact with me even though they try to look up. "Never mind maybe some other time."
