CHAPTER VI: PARALLEL HARMONIES (11)
The young man took a last sip of the yeast presented; his gaze stunned by the mockery of all those around him. He was placed in the center of the bar, before the testimony of all those present. And he began to clench his fists, trying to emanate a strange light; a singular power. They all began to look at him, morbidly losing his enthusiasm. And when it seemed that it was pressing with all its might an ancestral power, it simply slipped from the ground and fell before the ridicule of the nocturnal barbarians.
"Boy, enough is enough!" exclaims one of the barbarians, laughing. "You're going to make me pee!"
"Don't put your dirty hands on me!"
The music kept running, but the man stood up enraged and subdued. The barbarian put his hands on the young man's shoulder again, pushing him a little. He defended and quickly threw a fist towards the giant, who followed a melee of them attacking him. A singular fight started inside the bar; The man was outnumbred, but in the face of the ridiculousness he had submitted, some peculiarities were solidly withdrawing before the boy: he knew how to make fists and firm kicks.
He drew his singular tusk, and began to attack the giant barbarians, but they quickly dismantled him. They broke glass bottles on his head, until he had to fall to the ground, before the tie of all of them. The music was still playing, when Argon was kicked out of the bar; thrown to the outskirts of the cold grove.
"Your entrance to this obsolete child bar is f*******n!" exclaims one of the barbarians.
"For a fight?" Argon exclaims. "There are dozens of them and you never do anything!"
"What the hell do you think this is ?!" exclaims the barbarian owner, showing his tusk. “It is a sharp weapon! What can't you read? If you are going to harm the lives of others, do it outside my bar! I don't want to see your face again! You understand me?"
The owner threw the holy tusk at the young warrior, numb and exhausted. He had been defeated, and in the gloom of his ridiculousness he brought with him an awareness of the intoxication he was carrying. Grabbing his weapon, he rose from the cold, arid ground, and headed toward the waters of a nearby pond.
Argon came to them, and began to wash his tenuous face in the divine waters. He had a gap in one of his eyebrows, and as he washed his wound, he looked at the reflection of a lost man. A young prisoner of the external circumstances of his life. He never understood where it came from, did not understand where it was going. Everything reminded him of that day when he lost his home; where he lost his father. It was as if his memory had been erased. As if a life had been lost, and now he carried a pittance. One victim among many, of the great Kingdom of Earth.
A few tears fell on the nearby lake, as a symbol of his sadness and loneliness. He had been humiliated so many times for exclaiming his abilities, now he doubted if he ever had them. He washed his face one last time, trying to forget the decency of the past. Trying to forget the promises of his future. Trying to accept the reality of your present; his mortality, his abandonment. If this really was a prince, it was an abandoned one. One lost, between vegetation and vegetation.
He got up among the incessant ponds, and began to walk in the direction of the small house of straw and wheat that he had between the meadows and the forest crops. Wishing for a chance. Wishing a moment for him. Surrendered to the unfair reality, and lost among those slander that he remembered. And when he walked in discouragement and disappointment, he foresaw a sign between the wooden posts. Among the ad obelisk, from the nearby bars.
“Great opening tournament of the summer! Do you think you have skills to demonstrate? Do you think your strength can surpass that of the Lución *? Come and compete against the legendary beasts, and have a chance to win up to fifteen thousand cobalt stones, and meet the Queen of the Forests! ** now at Bar Geondia! "
The young man looked at the sign, and saw the voice of the universe immediately. It was a direct answer. An opportunity to demonstrate your skill; He was not afraid of monstrosities, in fact, he knew them perfectly. Those who helped him among the wheat fields and crops of the capital. And for some strange reason, after mounds of discouragement, he saw the hope to shine and come out of the incessant poverty that accompanied him, through a simple skill, one that emerged from talent since he was a child: battle.
He went quickly to the nearby bar, but when it arrived it was closed. He tried to look everywhere for the owner, and he did not appear. So he decided to sleep on the nearby benches and incessant bar parties, waiting until the next morning's summit; his heart would not stop beating, because something told him that this was the real opportunity.
The cusp of dawn came; the young man e hadn't slept all night. Imagining their battle scenes. Visualizing those great combat moves. Dreaming among those great scenes where the people venerated him; where he was finally recognized. I awake to the hope of lividity. He could not believe when early in the days of good fortune, he foresaw the arrival of Major Patricio. He had waited all night for this omentum, and yet the older one was about to enter the bar and close the door.
"Mr! Mr!" exclaims the young man. "I want - I want to talk to you!"
"I'm busy now boy," replies the Major.
"Sir, it's urgent!" exclaims the young man. "Please allow me a moment!"
"Who are you child?" responds the Major.
"My name is Argon sir, and I am coming–" exclaims Argon, between exhaustion to reach the eldest. “I have come to buy a ticket to enter the tournament! I have sixteen pied-
"Sorry kid, I ran out of tickets." exclaims the Major.
"What?" Argon exclaims. "But why?"
"Don't you know what day it is today?" exclaims the Major. “It is the tenth of Gont. Today is the boy tournament! "
"Today?!" Argon asks, flustered.
"Today." answers the elder.
"But what if I only saw the sign yesterday!" Argon exclaims.
"Well then, you haven't paid due attention." exclaims the major. “You can still go as a spectator, although I wouldn't waste my time on that. Besides, do you really think you can stand a chance with that monsters? "
"You are right!" Argon exclaims.
"There is son, you don't know what you're saying." The being exclaims. “Those creatures are hit men. You are young, you still don't know much about life. "
"Well, how am I supposed to learn from her, if it doesn't help me to do it!" Argon exclaims. “The battle is all I have left! War is my passion! At least I would like to try! Are you not the same governor who once sold among his people that all dreams were possible? That all the visions were achievable? "
The older man looked at the young man puzzled, because not even he remembered that lost motto before the times of earth and mud. He approached him, before entering his bar, and said a few last words.
"The most you can do is go to the tournament, and try to get a ticket." Exclaims the Major. “I highly doubt you will find her, but ask for Old Molly. Tell him that you are on my side. Maybe he can solve you. "
"Thank my Lord!" Argon exclaims. "You will not regret! You will see! "
"If I were you, I wouldn't put my hopes so high," the Major responds. "These are hard times. You shouldn't even go there, but you will know. Good luck."
