CHAPTER VI: PARALLEL HARMONIES (8) The creature heard the screams as a nefarious insult to the fragility of its intentions. She looked under their cold, inordinate gazes. It descended from the heights, lowering the elevation of its long, tall legs, until it was the size of the frontal sorceress. Those survivors circulated the encounter, as the creature headed exactly where the daughter of the rivers was; holding her friend in the deep hole where she had fallen. And before the imminence of an announced confrontation, a surprise was taken by both faces. For the ways of life are never what they seem to be. "Nicholas?" exclaims Leyra. The being was immediately surprised, for it perjured never to have such a confrontation again, never before. He was stunned and speechless, as some once-lost sensations were reborn. "Don't you feel like saying anything?" exclaims Leyra. "I did- I didn't think I'd see your face again," exclaims Nedev. "I'm sorry; I´m confused." "Well, I am too!" Leyra exclaims, furious. “Believe me, of all the times I dreamed of seeing my brother again, it never occurred to me to see him under these circumstances! Do you want to explain to me what the hell you have done Nicholas? " "That's not my name, not anymore." Nedev responds. “Leyra, I am the heir. I am mysticism. I am the son of the swamp, the king of the kings of the lands. You were right after all. You did well to me, my sister. You did well to me. " "How can you say that, when such a catastrophe thas happened?" exclaims Leyra. “Are you not seeing what has caused this? How the hell did you become an extinct creature? How the hell did you emerge as a Nenufar?! " "I was already a Nenufar, my sister!" exclaims Nedev. “It already was. He was not the son of the forest, he was the son of the swamp; the one who never knew extinction, thanks to Elgoneth. Thanks to me. I have understood everything, I have known everything. The earth has blessed me; The earth has blessed us! It is time now to return these blessings to her. " “Nedev, you have taken the lives of dozens of men and women! You have ended up in the home of thousands of families! " exclaims Leyra. "What blessings can your wayward wills bring to this innocent land ?!" "Do you think this has been my will?" exclaims Nedev. “This is the will of the gods. This is the will of the creators. I was lost sister. I was thirsty. I was in the most disturbing corridors, in the most disgusting classrooms. Egmeon's will led me to the swamps. Elgoneth's guide took me to the caves. There the power arose. There the truth emerged. There the vision arose. There the New Nénufar was born. " The woman was dumbfounded at Nedev's incessant words. She looked sideways, disturbed; I looked at it in detail, and less seemed to be what it once was. Her body was rough. Her arms were made from the bark of a fresh and renewed trunk. Her head had small branches like her hair. Her face was rough and scaly; with the prominence of greenish eyes. And from her arms, outlining the expandable structure of her body, a greenish energy surrounded itself. A very powerful singular aura. "How?" exclaims Leyra. "How did you become this?" “With the green emerald; just a piece of her. " Nedev exclaims. “Get deep into these forgotten caves. Among the extinct region, among the meadows hidden between myths. And when I got to it, this was a hidden graveyard; of thousands and thousands of mortals and terrestrials, who tried to retain this energy. I hope she had already chosen my sister for me. She was waiting for me, from the moment you found me. I never found my place in this world, only through my dreams. And it turned out that my dreams were true reality. And here we are now. " "I took it, and ingested it," exclaims Nedev. “I did not usurp it. Don't try to date her. And she got hold of me She revived my more alive nature. She rebuked all that evil that ever took over my mind. She lifted my spirit, and in it, the ancestors of the swamps all manifested in me. My soul reached the depths of Inmaeh. To the heart of the Infinite Planet. And there, I saw Egmeon. There I saw the owner of the land. There he connected me with the truth. There he connected me with all the roots of this nation, my nation. And this has allowed me to elevate this kingdom. I pretended to be the only king of it, for your existence had been lost among the strange waves of my mind. But now that I see you sister, I can't help but feel the gratitude you felt. And now that I see you, I want you to be the owner of this kingdom. I want you to be the leader, the Queen of Nénufar. The Queen of The Edredón. " "Nedev, look around you." Leyra exclaims. “Nobody knows what you are. Nobody knows what you've done. Is this a kingdom? Does this seem like home to them? You have locked us in this bubble of dirt and mud. I don´t – i don't understand what the hell is all of this. I don´t what you´ve done with us. What conditions of living are these? What kind of kingdom do you want to emerge, when you are a beast? Look what you have done with the land of these peoples! Look what you've done to the trails of these innocents! Look what you have done with these children, with these elders, with these leaders! Look what you've done with your friend! " Leyra came out a singular tear, when she showed Tabatha before her arms. This one was pale with pain. She had lost an arm. Her right leg as well. Her thighs were torn, and from her came the delirium of a totally destroyed body. The woman could barely breathe, could barely blink. Nedev then looked at his friend, and felt a strong lump in his throat. He looked around, and everyone was looking at him with eyes flooded with fear. Their souls were scared; the disasters around it were perpetuated. And for a strange reason, even though the creature had raised its spirit to the highest of vibrations, its fantasy strength melted before the gazes filled with insecurity and dark sensations. "Take my hands." exclaims Nedev. "What?" Leyra exclaims, still wiping her tears. "Hold my hands, Duchess of the Woods." exclaims Nedev. “So I can share, the most sacred energy of these mountains. So you can use your hands to heal that flesh that cannot be healed. " The woman laid Tabatha slowly upon the ground. She held Nedev in her hands, with both of hers, and a greenish divine power began to be transferred  immediatley; oscillating from the grounded creature, right towards the woman's heart and soul. Nedev closed his eyes, and began to whisper words that turned into lights that drifted like floating tides, and smoothly entered the woman's mind. Leyra began to levitate, in the presence of everyone. Her body began to emanate a divine effulgence. Her aura became physical, like a sonorous light that illuminated the dull grayish vision within the home enclosed by branches and roots. Her hair was dyed a dark green color. The iris of her eyes turned green as well, just as her eyebrows took the darkness to a singular greenish. Electric currents began to circulate over her, as the King of Nénufar shared his most hidden gifts with her, as his words increased in hue, as the intensity of the spell was covered as a singular and astonished power. The man stopped exclaiming the words, and released the woman's hands; which suddenly fell to the ground, transformed. Leyra came back to herself. She had felt like she had seen an eternity before her eyes. Her brother allowed her to see the visions that Egmeon herself had given her. She allowed her to see Elgoneth's face, and her father's voice revealed the way. Her divine words that corroborate the actions, approved the path and filled the woman in the higher dimensions with certainty. The truth had been revealed to her, for she deserved it too. She turned quickly; She grabbed a bit of mud, a bit of earth, and with her hands renewed with light and power she placed them on her friend's arms. She closed her eyes, and exclaimed some words in the Dragomar unrecognizable even to the Magic Book of herself. And suddenly, with the light and the earth, a new arm emanated from Tabatha; an arm with a unique nature, made of log, mud, earth and sand. And before the mysticism of all those present, a miracle never before perpetuated was revealed. Tabatha had been healed; her limbs were recovered, and her body stabilized like half a human, and the other half earth. Half Lorn. Half Nénufar.
