CHAPTER VI: PARALLEL HARMONIES (19) “So tell me, how was our life before all of this?” asks Argon. “You really want to know?” asks Leyra. “I’m just curious about us.” asks Argon. “I’m curious about who we were.” “We were the kings, the queens, the landlords.” continues Leyra. “We were the leaders, we were the lovers. The established kingdom of the southern sunsets, full of compassion and goodwill. Full of purpose, and meaning. Full of family, full of love. We were the best Argon. We rise the flag were it in a place where it was impossible to do so. We encountered the fate of glory, in a path that was impossible to find. We were so happy.” “Are you happy now?” asks Argon. The woman looks around; looks within, look upside and down, like trying to find something subtly. Like trying to find the right words to express. “I don’t– I don´t know what to say.” “Everything was better before, wasn’t it?” exclaims Argon. “All before this rotten realm. This so called obnoxious kingdom. You know it well. Everything felt so natural; so right. The greens, the forests, the rivers. Don’t you miss that? Don’t you miss the free air?” “I do, is just–I guess my path has brought me here.” says Leyra. “The same path that has now brought you to me?” exclaims Argon. “Leyra, this cannot be a coincidence. This cannot be a casualty. Everything could be falling apart, and yet our souls somehow founds one another. Don’t you want to return to the mountains? Don’t you want to return to the wind? Don’t you want to start again, and build a home again? Even if it means a tiny tavern? Even if it means a small cottage along the river? “I would certainly love that,” says Leyra, “I would like to feel the air, the blossom of the sky, the harvest outside the swamps, but– “But what?” “I’m scared of making the wrong move, because of my emotions.” exclaims Leyra. “This is my home now. This is where the gods want me to be now. As disgusting as sometimes it may seem. I’ve thought of getting out, and I can do it but–Im sacred of letting myself to go wrong. I’m scared of trying, and failing. I’m sacred of jumping, and falling, instead of getting to another side.” “If you would try, you will not be trying along.” Exclaims Argon. “I believe sometimes we must go against the tide. I don’t know about these god’s wills nor intentions, I know about human’s ones. And these are not humane conditions. These are not humane lives! These sources are limited; this pride is limited. And I really hate living in this. I really do. Whilst it gives these monster a power of beyond, we’re suffering, when we do not need to be like this. We’re slaves from his own monstrous world; salves of his own forced wills.” “You know, everyone talked about how you were according to this, but this is not for you.” exclaim Argon. “Your powers are out of this world. It was said that your voice can evoke the rivers’ dance between one another. It is said that your hands can bring spring between the driest of terrains. Do your really think, life has given you this honors to be just here? This powers to satisfied a capricious monster?  To do only this?” “I guess my father wants so.” “I do not believe that.” responds Argon. “You’re more than this my queen. You deserve more than this. You know this well. We’re not going to last longer; this is not natural. Nor for you, nor for me.” “We maybe against the odd, against the will of the gods.” exclaims Argon, while he stands above. “But are the gods the ones whom dictate our destinies? We make our ways my queen. We make our lives. We build our own happiness through our decisions, through our progress. Not stuck in the in the unwillingness. Not stuck in the victim’s calabash. Not separating ourselves from the whole and the currents of the happiest purpose. The happiest life.  And if you aren’t happy for what you’re doing, then why you keep doing it so?” “I don’ know.” responds Leyra, confused. “Don’t you think life is here for us to be free? If ever your father wants for you, is love. And love my lady, is freedom.” Exclaims Argon. “This is why I feel so unnoticed. This is why I feel so bad in here. My ancestors call my way, my guardians ask for my discovery, for the truth, for the liberty, for the broken chains of imprisonment; and at this point, this could only be found through battalion, for my exillion* from here. Were destined for greater things Leyra, you know this more than I do. I need to get out of here. I need to breathe fresh air, I need to unlock my destiny, and I would not do it here. Death, is the only certainty for me. I want to emerge. I want to discover my path. I want my powers to be gain at thought, for I made a promise to my father. But I can’t do this alone, and certainly, I won’t leave you behind. I can’t go on without you, but I don’t want to do this. There is something special about you Leyra. Is like–is like you’re a puzzle for my image. You’re the piece for that vision. You’re the columns for that empire, I want to give you the best. And want to give us best. And for creatures like us, these would never be our bet prairies.” “But Argon, that’s your perception as an earthling. That’s the believe that we can reach as being I these confusing found.” Exclaims Leyra. “Our deeds are not to question the solidity of their decisions, for our minds are not built to understand none of this, but to follow their paths as the lead us to our best glory. Besides, why does Egmeon would like to emerge a kingship for Nénufar like this, if it wasn’t for the best of all?” “He did not emerge this for the well of all, but for his own desire of what well means.” Exclaims Argon.” He emerged this monstrosity, because Egmeon hated the Raen. He’s advocative to them, because they destroyed the swamp race.” “But Elgoneth– “Elgoneth owes his brother one. His own creation deserted his own nature, that’s when Nenufar became a reality.” responds Argon. “Don’t you see it? King Nedev was an adaption. He was a response towards the rebellion of the dragons. After the fall of the moon, everything became biased to a new order. A new legend. But this legend has become tainted. His purposes are derived anfd egocentric. He has fooled you to be here, when you know damn well we all deserved to be free. You would never feel satisfied, not before the new king arise. Not before the Raen dominate again the Infinity Mountains. For they are, chosen race to protect the land. As Elgoneth, once perpetuated since the beginning of time. Those are the myths of the ghost, from the deepest forests.” “But if the Raen are the chosen race, why do they destroyed the moon?” says Leyra. “Why do they attack the rebellion?” “Are you sure it was them?” asks Argon. “Or was one of them?” Leyra remembered her father’s word, and Argon was right. “How do you know all of this?” exclaims Leyra. “These are very antique knowing.” “The lost kingdom of Raen lays around the energy of the hidden trees,” responds Argon, “waiting for their kings to be found. The hanging garden stays no more. I didn’t really have a chance to do anything more, than precisely listen for eight rimmers about all the foretold legends. The scrolls of the ghosts. Everything is there. Didn’t Elgoneth talk to you about Hera?” “That’s the rebellious one.” responds Leyra. “Heiress of the Fire Lineage, the rebel of the Eternal War,” responds Argon, “and she did so, because her fury betrayed her impulse. She was condoned, to be trapped in malice. But I met her, she’s out now. And all the garden is waiting for their new king to be found. The Golden King, does not acknowledge this, according to the spirits of beyond; and neither they told me for they don’t know for sure either, so I do not know who it is the one Raen to be called. But I belong to this, Leyra. You know my story more than me.” “I do certainly, but I doubt this is real Argon.” Responds Leyra. “This was a long time ago. Even if you survived our doom, I thought you will no longer belong to these realms, or these legends from beyond. But if it’s true what you said, then you have no idea who you shall become, nor how powerful your soul is right now, for you were just once an heir of dr– “It’s okay, don tell me about it.” interrupts Argon. “I want to unleashed this myself. I want to discover this myself. I thought I could do it alone, but I can’t. I need a guidance, a guidance from love.  I need a partner, a partner of trust. I need a best friend, and whom better than the one who knows me more than I know myself. I need the gold from the river, the face of the glory. Your father will not abandon you Leyra if you chose to move on, and change this. In fact, you will make him prouder, even if he doesn’t tell you directly. Even if he wanted to, he can’t. And how could he, if these giant roots and layers has blocked our ways to connect with our higher guardians and angels? We just have to move forward, and if life does not want to make it, we will, because we can. We have to move forward, for we are destined for the divine will. For We are parallel journeys. We are parallel harmonies.”
