Seeing Jane was serious about leaving without her, she cast a terrified glance at Jane and whispered in a frightened voice, “I’m coming with you.”
Judy didn’t wait for Jane’s approval. She quickly started running towards Jane. There was a pitched howl that breaks the silence of their immediate surrounding which was followed by many more howls. The howls were replaced by ferocious barking which made Judy tremble with fear.
“What changed your mind?” Jane glanced at Judy.
“Run today, fight tomorrow.”
They started running as fast as they could, as the barking kept growing louder and closer. It’s now clear that the pack is on their trail.
“Do you think Bonnie could make it before we get maimed?” Judy asked as she gasps for breath.
“We should think of surviving on our own first.”
