The moon peeped through the almond tree leaves and faintly lit up the dark path ahead. Campers were pitching their tents. They’re four of them, two girls and two boys. This is their first time camping in the woods of New Orleans. As the moon cast aside its cloudy veil, one of the girls caught a glimpse of someone staring at them from the dark path ahead. She was terrified when the eyes of the unknown person glowed red. Shivering in fear, she ran to her boyfriend to call his attention to what she has seen. Pointing in the direction, she said, “Someone is watching us.” “Where?” asked the boyfriend. He could see nothing. There’s no sign of anyone or anything. He missed it.
