There’s no need to doubt the old man. He has the glowing eyes of an alpha, which is usually red. She has met alpha Jones before but not as an old man. “What is going on?” she asked. Alpha Jones released Jane from his grip and rose to his feet. He opened his mouth to speak. “Ever since Kyle found the mystic orb with the help of the dark witches, I sought for Gwen’s help to be unnoticed. This is the best she could do for me.” Alpha Jones is the true alpha and has lived for five hundred thousand years. He is the oldest alpha that has walked the earth. The rogue alpha Kyle has placed a bounty on alpha Jones' head that he can barely walk the streets of New Orleans without being noticed. For this reason, he sought the help of Gwen to disguise his appearance. Jane felt bad. She knew what it feels like to be forced to live a life you never chose to. She was turned against her will and, ever since that time, she has been living a life filled with secrets; a life in which she disassociates herself from people so as not to hurt them. Now she’s caught in between accepting a new fate she never dreamt of. A twisted fate! “You can’t keep living like this,” she said. She has known alpha Jones to be a tough alpha. She knew him to be a fighting alpha and not the one that runs away from a fight. The only alpha that has lived for five hundred thousand years. “That will depend on the path you choose to walk.” Alpha Jones was the one that personally trained Jane and taught her how to overcome her bloodlust and werewolf anger rage. Every newly turned werewolf lusts after blood that they could even feast on their family or friends. When Jane was turned, she was very close to devouring her mother if alpha Jones didn’t intervene with Bonnie. At the same time, she wanted to unleash her werewolf anger-rage on Bonnie and alpha Jones. She didn’t know who they were at first. But after they save her from herself, she sees them as her new family. This is not the time to turn her back on them. “I’m confused,” Jane said in a tiny voice. She lowered her head. She felt bad about what is going on and at the same time, blames the rogue alpha Kyle for everything bad that has ever happened to her. “Follow your heart and do that which is right,” said alpha Jones as he disappeared into white glowing light. For the first time in Jane’s life, she became more confused than ever. She has never seen a werewolf use magic. Werewolves don’t just disappear because they don't have the ability to do magic; they can move faster than the eye could see. And the disappearance of alpha Jones proves he is in possession of a magic object that can make him disappear. As she continued staring in awe, Bonnie spoke from behind her. “Are you surprised seeing the alpha disappear?” With haste, Jane flicked around. She never knew Bonnie has been watching. “He disappeared!” said Jane. The look on her face tells it all. She feels sorry for everyone around her for what is to come if Kyle isn’t dealt with. She has heard alpha Jones speak against werewolves using magic. The same alpha is now desperate and is using magic to disappear and, as well, to disguise himself. “If nothing is done, you will wake up only to realize you are alone in New Orleans.” With a snap of fingers, Bonnie disappeared into a glowing white light. Jane is left alone with no clue of what she has to do right now. It’s hard to make a decision, especially when your happiness is on the line. She can’t stand the sight of Kyle if she’s not after his life. She wants to rip out his heart and trample upon it. She can’t stand being his bride when she wants him dead for killing her father and forcing her into living the life of a werewolf by turning her. Many thoughts filled her mind. She started hearing voices inside her head. ‘You are pathetic if you turn your back on your friends. You are nothing but a failure.’ She couldn’t help. She tried to make it stop, but the more she tried to make it stop, the more loudly the voices grew. She let out a scream and fell to her knees. She sobs bitterly, drawing the attention of those passing by. She bit her chest and sobbed the more. “Hello Miss, are you alright?” asked a man with a cowboy heart. He helped Jane to her feet. “I will be fine,” Jane glanced at the man, expressing her gratitude. “Do you need something?” “No, I will be fine.” She didn’t say a word again as she walked away wiping her tears. ‘This is the time not to allow me to feel weak,’ she said in her heart. She needs to be strong and embrace her fate. At the same time, her desires for Daniel can’t be buried. No man has caught her attention ever before besides Daniel. What she feels for him is becoming a stronghold in her that she can’t resist. She quickly stopped a cab. “Phase 1,” she said to the cabman as she sat on the back seat of the cab. She had thought in her heart about getting home as soon as possible. She wants to see Daniel once more before she can make her decision. Perhaps by seeing Daniel she could make a healthy decision without regretting it later.
