It felt strange to Emily, walking through the front doors of the school in the early morning. She yawned hugely and blinked the tears that sprang up out of her eyes as she trudged to the office, her earlier energy seemingly evaporated the moment Emmett had to leave her side. He was still in the night GED program, after all. Hopefully she could get all of her classes back, since it had only been a few days since she was in attendance, but she knew the first come, first served policy. Her spot in her classes had likely been handed to the next name on the list, especially since it had happened in week one. Starting week two, she'd be lucky to get into remedial classes.
