DAY 17. AT SEA. AFTERNOON. At first Martin thought he had imagined it. Peter was there, and in the next second he wasn’t. No one else had noticed. People were still talking, laughing, swimming, sitting in the spa sipping cocktails. Martin leaned over the railing and at first saw nothing but white caps and gentle waves lapping the side of the ship. Then…something bobbing in the water.
