Essy arrived home from school and was about to head to her room when heard her stepmother's voice stop her.
" And where did you think you are going, b***h? "
As if not minding her words, " Good evening, ma. " Essy greeted politely.
Arianna scoffed when she heard this, " I see you are still able to speak politely after all that happened. " She said sarcastically.
" Um... Can I go to my room now? I need to do some of my assignments. "
" And who said you could go? Do you think your punishment yesterday has been completed? " She said and Essy's eyes grew wide immediately.
" But, I -- "
" Do you think that alone will suffice? " Arianna said cutting her off.
" I apologize again for my yesterday's behavior. " Essy said with a bow.
