Chapter Nine

After passing through all the security scans Lucy got to the final door and knocked on it
minutes later the door was opened to reveal Rose who had a faint smile on her lips
looking at Rose's state Lucy almost wailed it was like her heart was being pierced
she couldn't believe that Rose who was always strong and bold could turn this
she made a mental note to make sure the one responsible pays for this
" Good morning Lucy how are doing, " Rose asked smiling faintly
seeing Rose still so much for her even in this state Lucy almost burst out in tears but she managed to stop herself
" This isn't the right thing to do now," she thought
" morning Rose how are you holding up," Lucy asked
" am alive I guess " Rose replied non gallantly
hearing Rose's response Lucy felt a heart-wrenching pain not able to control herself anymore she pulled Rose into a tight hug
Rose was startled at first but she realized that Lucy was trying to make her feel better
after about God knows how long they finally separated
" let's go in," Rose said leading Lucy in
" coffee or tea," she asked
" coffee but I will make them myself I am not a visitor after all. what will you have " Lucy asked
" same " Rose replied
" Alright I'll be right back " Lucy replied
on getting to the kitchen Lucy was amazed at the neatness of the kitchen even though this was not her first time here she felt like the kitchen has not been used for about a week or so
then it occurred to her Rose might have not been cooking or eating something healthy since the Breakup
she decided to make bacon and eggs for Rose as she had eaten already
about fifteen to twenty minutes later
Lucy served the food on the dining table and perked to look at Rose she then found the latter staring into space
she felt bad seeing Rose like this it breaks her heart
Lucy went and hugged her from behind
" it's gonna be alright " she comforted
Rose looked up at Lucy and nodded
when they got to the dining table
Rose was surprised to see that Lucy made her favorite food
she muttered a thank you before eating the food slowly
Lucy who was sipping coffee beside Rose suddenly thought of something
" Why don't we go out today," she said
Rose wanted to reject her but seeing Lucy's eyes lighten up she couldn't so she just nodded at Lucy
who smiled wildly.
