RUBY'S POV
" Wait, are you the trinity, Susan was talking about?"
"Who is Susan?" I asked, still trying to wrap my head around the whole situation. I already had so much drama in my life at the moment, I wasn't expecting to see Andrew in the midst of the chaos.
He turned, calling her name so loud that it made me so uncomfortable.
" Susan?"
"Yes!" She answered, then lifted her gaze from her computer.
"Is she the one that has an appointment with Mr Luca?"
"Yes, Trinity Ruby!."
"But you aren't on his schedule today!," he turned back to me, tilting his head.
"I...have..." I struggled to talk. I was short of words.
"Gosh!"
" Pardon?" I asked as I felt hot tears swelling in my eyes.
"I almost forgot how beautiful you are," he raised his hand as if to touch my face, but he withdrew it when he saw my frown.
"I'm sorry, I always get carried away whenever I see you. Ruby." He was a f****d up manipulator!
He continued" Your honey-colored beautiful eyes, your blonde hair, your snow-white skin and everything about you makes me crave you."
"Wow, you are still a f****d up man..." I paused, shaking my head. I was not going to give into his nonsense.
"You know what? This isn't what I am here for. I have a serious issue at hand that I need to discuss with Mr Luca," I said authoritatively.
His nostrils flared as he stared at me.
"Well, that won't happen. I am so sorry." He turned to leave, but I held his hand and asked
"Why?"
"Are you deaf? I said you aren't on his schedule today, so you cannot see him." He blurted angrily.
"How did you know? Do you work here? Wait! You never got to answer my question. What are you doing here?" I asked, regardless of how obvious the answer was.
" I am Mr Luca's secretary."
" But you said you worked at a firm? I thought you were a lawyer?
Then he threw his eyes away. I recognized that look, it was mischief.
"OH! That was a lie too!"
He forcefully loosened my grip and walked away. My heart raced in my chest, looking at his tall slender body moving away from me.
He stopped to talk to someone who was supposed to deliver a package to Mr. Luca. I eavesdrop on their conversation.
"Okay, take it to his office. I believe you know where it is." He replied with his awfully cracked voice.
Adrenaline coursed through my veins as I ran past the two of them, to anywhere my intuition led me to.
" Ruby, what are you doing?" He yelled.
"I'm sorry, but I need to talk to him as soon as possible." I shouted back, running forward to the route the delivery man used, which was an elevator that sat in the middle of the building.
" Security! Someone should call the Security." He charged, running after me.
Keeping my breathing steady, I ran faster.
In my desperate bid to meet the CEO, I rushed into the elevator and I pushed against the closed button until it was closed.
"Where?" I asked myself.
"Think! Think! Ruby!" I pressed the top floor button without second thoughts.
"Where are you Luca?" I asked, touching my stomach.
In a twinkle of an eye, I was on the top floor; running around like a mad woman in search for his office.
I had this feeling that there was a fine line between where he was and where I was.
Spotting a Ceo's Office sign on a door, ahead of me. A surge of anger shot through me, causing me to duck between a scattered group of employees in the corridor.
I blinked to filter the fear in my eyes as I approached his office.
I knocked and waited for someone to open the door. As I heard the feet of some people thumping loudly on the ground.
I tried to open the door and, to my greatest surprise, it was open.
" Stop! Ruby! Ma'am, you are not permitted to go to Mr. Luca's office", Andrew and some security guards' voices echoed.
I entered and I locked it behind me.
He was sitting with someone I had never seen before.
His head snapped towards me, his gaze immediately locking with mine.
I stood in their midst like melted ice.
"Who are you and what do you want?"
"Luca, I know you might not remember me, but we met a while ago at Saturn"
"I don't remember going to Saturn, let alone meeting someone there!" He answered.
"Please, you've got to remember because I am pregnant, and I don't know what to do about it." I walked closer to them.
Then the other man cuts in" Luca! How true is this?" His voice was laced with a dangerous edge.
" No, dad! She is crazy, and I don't know her from anywhere ."
"Dad?"
"Don't you remember me? We had a one-night stand at a nightclub. I am not trying to seek attention. If you don't want me to keep it, then that's fine. I just want you to acknowledge that you are the father, and you are fine with any decision I take."
" Who the hell are you? Where is my security?" He roared. His fists clenched as he stood up.
" Calm down," said his father.
He moved his attention back to me. " What do you remember about that night?"
"His birthmark!" I replied quickly, moving away from the endless banging on the door.
"Luca, I thought you were more responsible than your brother and that is why I handed this company over to you! What is wrong with you? Your engagement just got called off for God's sake, now is this?!"
"Dad, I promise I do not know this girl, she is not even my type. This must be a mistake or a plan carefully drafted by her." He glared.
"I am running for Mayor and this is how you choose to support me.? His father scolded, raising his voice.
“ Father!”
“ Keep quiet! In two days, you will be married before word gets out that you are no longer engaged. This is the only way to distract the public.

A knock on my door startled me out of my reverie as I sat down in front of my mirror dressed in a wedding gown.
“Come in!” I responded.
Then Paris came in, her face gleaming with excitement.
“You have a visitor.”
“Who?” I asked, forcing out a smile.
She opened the door for him to enter as she said“ They say it is bad luck for the groom to see the bride before the wedding.
"Groom? That is ridiculous," he replied as he walked in and then saw Ruby's reflection on the large wall mirror.
“Hold on, aren't you the lady I screwed the other day at saturn? You must have been so obsessed with my face, you went ahead to marry my brother.” He laughed, walking towards me quickly.
“Wha...what are you talking about? You're Luca, my husband to be"
"No, my name is Leo, Luca is my twin brother".
