Nick ambled down the stairs. He felt lost, like he did not belong there or anywhere, for that matter. It appeared what Carson had done had left Nick’s pack, company, and life in complete disarray. He had no idea how many had left his pack or company or what he would have to return to if he returned. He was questioning where he belonged.
His wolf kept harping about smelling their mate, but that was the furthest thing from his mind then. Nick had always dreamed of finding his destined mate. His perfect other half, who would be by his side through every decision he made regarding all of Dark Moon, the pack, and the company. Now, Nick wondered if he was worthy of her. After what he had done, would she want to be with him?
