Astrid half runs and half walks up the stairs as she leaves Zane, struggling hard to keep her tears at bay, she dashes into her room and slams the door shut before she breaks down beside it.
She has to be strong, for her and boys, she knows but she is being pushed into so many corners she doesn’t even know where to direct that strength.
She has two days to either clear her name with the proof from that woman, sign her kids over to Zane or not sign and lose them forever.
Does she really want to take that risk? Trust the same woman who put her in this situation in the first place or does she take the safe but cruel option that Zane is offering her and remain in the life of her kids?
