Doug was so enthralled with Lorraine he did not notice the time passing. He finally looked around and saw some of the guys leaving.
“I guess I had better go and pick up Lily,” said Doug. “Will you bring the kids out to the farm tomorrow?”
“Yes, what time?” asked Lorraine.
“How about eleven? I can show you all around and then you can stay for lunch,” said Doug.
“Are you sure Lily won’t mind?” asked Lorraine.
“I’m sure,” said Doug. “Come on, I’ll walk you to your car.”
Lorraine rose and walked beside him out the door. She completely forgot to tell Danny or Brian she was leaving. When they were beside Lorraine’s car, she unlocked her door, then turned toward Doug.
