Tony Marino was surprised when he saw the man enter Kirstin’s room. He had assumed she was alone, although he wasn’t sure why. The man had startled her, entering unexpectedly, and she seemed to frantically hide the chalkboard and binoculars. Marino wondered who he was – a husband, perhaps, even though he was much older, or even a father. But regardless of their relationship, she seemed to fear him. But why? Marino had turned out the light as soon as he sensed she was in danger. It was all he could do to avoid having their communications discovered.
