Being down because of someone

Richard and Jasmine always ended up with the same work shift. They began to grow closer, often having lunch together. Richard started to get to know Jasmine more deeply. Jasmine also had a few friends working in different departments. As the closeness between Richard and Jasmine became more apparent, Yudha, who worked in administration, grew anxious because he had liked Jasmine since their first meeting.

In the beginning, Jasmine got to know Yudha because he helped her during her initial job application process. That was why Yudha felt disappointed when Jasmine started spending time with Richard. Moreover, Yudha was Richard's close friend. Over time, Yudha became increasingly upset because of the closeness between Jasmine and Richard. He then began spreading rumors that he was already dating Jasmine. In reality, Jasmine had been interested in Yudha since they first met.

Jasmine had yet to get to know Yudha very well. She only knew that Yudha was single, so she dared to develop feelings for him. Rumors about their relationship spread quickly among the employees, becoming a never-ending topic of conversation. When Richard finally found out, he felt uncomfortable.

Richard knew that Yudha was having family issues and was in the process of getting a divorce. However, he was bothered by people badmouthing Jasmine behind her back. Richard secretly defended Jasmine in front of everyone who spoke ill of her without her knowing. To Richard, this proved how much he liked Jasmine, even though he did not say it directly to her.

While Jasmine was changing clothes in the locker room, some people talked about her. Jasmine accidentally overheard the conversation. She was shocked to hear that Yudha was married. Jasmine quickly left the changing room and confronted the two people.

"Can you repeat what you just said?" Jasmine asked. Her face began to show uncontrollable emotions. She was on the verge of an emotional breakdown, her gaze intense. "Don't act like you don't know. We all know you are talented at stealing other people's husbands," one of the two people with Jasmine replied.

Jasmine bowed her head. She couldn't afford to explode and had to hold back all her anger. Jasmine felt it was pointless to respond to those people's words. She gave them a disdainful look and then left. Jasmine sought an open space to calm her chaotic mind and went to the rooftop. She looked for a spot to climb and see the city skyline. Jasmine then screamed as loudly as she could to feel better.

The sound of footsteps approached. Jasmine lost focus and nearly fell. Someone reached out and caught her, and she fell into their arms. Jasmine was shocked to see that it was Richard who had caught her.

Did he hear my scream? Jasmine thought as she stared at Richard.

Jasmine then stood up and straightened her slightly disheveled clothes. Richard looked at her with concern. In his mind, he thought Jasmine might be contemplating suicide.

"Are you okay?" Richard asked, looking at Jasmine. "I am fine. Since when have you been here?" Jasmine tried to make sure Richard had heard her scream. Maybe about fifteen minutes ago," Richard replied with a small laugh. Damn! He heard it, Jasmine muttered softly.

Richard had suspected that Jasmine would feel pressured. He had also learned that Yudha had reconciled with his wife, making Jasmine seem like the other woman. Richard immediately took Jasmine's hand and led her to see Yudha. Jasmin, confused, could only follow where Richard was taking her.

When they reached Yudha's office door, Jasmine froze. She found it very hard to face Yudha. Richard looked at her again. Richard thought Jasmine might be reluctant to see Yudha, but he had to force her.

"What's wrong? Do you like him? Why can't you face him?" Richard, who was starting to get annoyed, asked.

"No! Not now," Jasmine replied hesitantly, avoiding Richard's gaze out of shame and fear.

"Why? Is your love not strong enough to withstand the rumors?" His words were harsh and hurtful to Jasmine.

Jasmine became angry again. She glared at Richard with frustration. She thought Richard, as a friend, could help her through difficult times like these, but she was wrong. Richard only pushed her deeper into her sadness.

"Stay out of my life!" Jasmine said before walking away from Richard.

Richard grew more upset. It seemed Jasmine didn't realize that Yudha wasn't a good man for her. Richard went straight to Yudha. Without saying anything, Richard punched Yudha square in the face.

"Are you crazy? What happened?" Yudha asked, bewildered, as he saw Richard glaring at him. Without answering, Richard threatened Yudha.

"Don't hurt Jasmine again! If you do, it will not just be one punch but hundreds. Do you understand?" Richard warned. Yudha, feeling he had done nothing wrong, grew to dislike Richard even more.

Since Richard's threat, Yudha's attitude towards Jasmine has changed drastically. Yudha ignores Jasmine, hurting her feelings and leading her to quit her job to avoid seeing Yudha again.

Over time, the relationship between Richard and Jasmine grew distant after the incident where Richard took her to see Yudha. Incidentally, Jasmine rarely had the same work shifts as Richard, so they seldom met or crossed paths. The relationship between Jasmine and Yudha eventually fell apart. Jasmine realized that Yudha had been lying to her all along, just as Richard had said. Jasmine wanted to apologize to Richard but was too proud to do so. Eventually, she quit her job and left town to visit her mother.

Jasmine told Louis about her departure, asking him not to inform Richard and to convey her apologies for their last argument. Louis felt this wasn't right. He knew Richard had feelings for Jasmine. If he hadn't told Richard, regret and guilt would have weighed on Richard's heart.

Jasmine told Louis the day before her departure, hoping Louis wouldn't have time to inform Richard. Unfortunately, the news reached Richard that same night. Richard panicked and hurried to Jasmine's house. Standing in front of her house, Richard hesitated. He didn't dare face Jasmin directly. Richard didn't think Jasmine and her family would welcome him.

Jasmine looked out of her bedroom window at the night sky, thinking about the tough stuff she had been through. She had given her all to the wrong person and appeared to have lost hope. She hoped that her departure would bring solace to her broken spirit.
