Love at the first sight

Richard is currently a twenty-four-year-old man. He comes from a very modest family. Richard is the eldest of three siblings. His younger sister is Vivian, and his youngest brother is Jonathan. Richard is a very ambitious person. He is very determined to pursue his dreams to make his family happy. Richard has been the backbone of the family since he was a teenager because his father, who is Japanese, left without saying goodbye.

Richard never felt discouraged; instead, he became a man full of spirit because he had to protect and make his mother and siblings happy. Richard's mother owns a small grocery store near their house, and his siblings are still in school. Richard paid all expenses. Richard works as a staff member in a five-star hotel in the city. His daily routine is working. And on his days off, he helps his mother and occasionally hangs out with friends. Richard is known for his friendliness and willingness to help. He smiles a lot, and it makes him look good.

One time, he was assigned to work the night shift. Because Richard worked the night shift, he only went home when he had a day off; otherwise, he slept in the split room provided by the company.

That morning,

Richard was about to put his dirty uniform in the uniform room when he suddenly ran into a girl. The girl had a pretty face and a petite appearance. She looked confused, and Richard, seeing this, tried to ask if she needed help.

"Excuse me, miss, can I help you with something?" Richard greeted her warmly with a smile. The girl paused momentarily, looking at Richard, then asked him where she could get a uniform for work. Richard, who happened to be heading to the uniform room, asked the girl to follow him.

"Oh, you're new here? Come with me. I'll show you." Richard invited her. The girl nodded and followed him. When they arrived at the uniform room, the man in charge there asked the girl some questions. The girl seemed nervous, prompting Richard to help her.

"What's your name? Which department are you from?" Richard asked the girl.

"Jasmin, from the Banquet department," the girl replied softly. Richard smiled and relayed this information to the man in the uniform room. Richard then handed the uniform to Jasmin. Jasmin felt indebted to Richard but could only repay him with a smile. She immediately went to the locker room to change while Richard went to the split room to sleep.

In the afternoon, when Richard woke up, he suddenly felt hungry. He quickly went outside the hotel to get something to eat and smoke while waiting for his shift to start. After finishing his meal and returning to change, he ran into Jasmin again. Richard tried to smile and greet her, but Jasmin ignored him as if they had never met. That puzzled Richard, as he had never felt rejected by anyone before.

Richard sought information about Jasmin from his colleagues. It turned out that one of his colleagues in the bar department knew Jasmin quite well. Richard became more curious about her and wanted to get closer to her. The day's events were quite busy, with all the hotel ballrooms booked for weddings. Richard was very busy and set aside his desire to get to know Jasmin. After the events, Richard started his tasks, dismantling the tables and chairs. As he was rolling a table to a special trolley, he saw Jasmin walk around pushing a trolley full of leftover items from the events.

Richard found it strange to see a girl still working in the hotel ballroom late at night. He approached Jasmin to tell her to go home. Richard was surprised by Jasmin's presence that night, as it was the first time he saw a female staff member working so late.

"Hey, you! Stop!" Richard shouted, calling out to Jasmin. Jasmin didn't realize someone was calling her and kept walking. Richard chased after her and stood in front of her trolley. Jasmin looked startled and scared. Richard, who initially seemed angry, tried to be friendly again.

"Why haven't you gone home? Did someone ask you to work this late?" Richard asked with concern. Jasmin tried not to appear nervous and scared. She responded harshly to Richard.

"It's none of your business to interrogate me like this. You should mind your own business and stop bothering me," Jasmin's reply was curt, and she walked past Richard.

Richard began to feel annoyed at being ignored again. He chased after Jasmin. Jasmin felt that Richard was meddling too much in her affairs, even though they had only met once. That made her uncomfortable. However, Jasmin also needed clarification about why her supervisor hadn't told her to go home yet.

"Who is your supervisor? I'll go find them and talk to them," Richard asked Jasmin in a firm but calm voice. Jasmin remained silent. She thought Richard was just another staff member like herself and couldn't possibly help her. She ignored him again and was about to walk away with her trolley. Richard stopped her and looked deeply into her eyes. Jasmin felt she had no choice but to tell Richard, hoping he could help her go home.

"Captain Adrian has been directing me since the beginning, but I don't know where he is now. So, I've just been working instead of sitting idle," Jasmin explained. "Just go home now. I'll talk to him later," Richard insisted.

Jasmin looked confused. Richard, another staff member like her, was asking her to go home without permission. Jasmin felt tired. She wanted to go home, but she couldn't ignore her duties. Especially someone she barely knew was telling her to leave without thinking.

Who is he? Why is he acting so recklessly like this? Is he also a captain? But from his clothes, he seems like just another staff member. Jasmin kept wondering in her mind.

Richard was puzzled. Why was Jasmin standing there looking at him when he asked her to go home? Am I scaring her? Richard thought to himself. He asked Jasmin again to go home and leave the work to him. But Jasmin insisted on working until Captain Adrian came to see her.

She's so stubborn! Is her mind made of stone, and she can't understand what's good for her? Richard muttered and started feeling annoyed with Jasmin's stubbornness.
