Chapter Four: Aramis POV

I woke up as the sun shined in. I was still in my wolf form. I gave her a small nudge to wake up. I still smelled the danger. I got off her and went to the bathroom and transformed back. I grabbed the bathroom towel and went to my room. I heard the phone rang. I answered the phone.

“Hello,”I answered.

“Hey it’s Elio pass me Stella, court and I have been worried about her,”he explained.

“Hey I promise you she’s fine,”I told him.

“Tell me, are you about to move to another country with her,” he asked.

“We are,”I told him.

“You didn’t let her sleep alone correct,”I understood how badly he was worried of her.

“I didn’t, the rogues are inside of my territory,” I explained.

“Fine I trust your word, I want to speak with her,” he said.

“It’s your beta,”I told her. She looked at me tired. I hand her the phone and changed and left her have a private conversation with him. I saw some of my pack members were dead and Kenzo was still in his wolf. I made him sit with a hand gesture and made him transform back.

“I think this is war, they tried sneaking in, I think one escaped and he went in the house,”he said huffing.

“STELLA,”I exclaimed. I ran back to the house and there I found the rogue holding my sister as hostage. My sister was unconscious.

“We know the royal Queen Alpha is here, now tell us where you are keeping her,”he stared into my eyes. Kenzo was in his wolf form.

“I don’t know,”I answered.

“Your lying,”he snarled. Kenzo jumped behind him and grabbed his neck and cracked it. Licia was dropped to the ground. I set her aside and I checked he was dead. Kenzo walked to Licia and nudge her a bit.

“She’s fine Kenzo,”I told him. The rogue was dead. Kenzo transformed back. He was in pain. I carried my sister.

“Put all the suitcases near the entrance, and go ask for Dreyden about his jets,” I ordered. Kenzo bowed and left. I hoped that was last of the rogues. Kenzo texted me.

“Which country?” he asked.

“France, next will be Romania, and then the all the states in the United States and then Canada,”I texted back. I took my sister back to her room. Luckily she was a really really heavy sleeper. I walked back to Stella and I saw she was done with her phone.

“What’s wrong?”she asked.

“Are you packed” I asked. I saw that her tough aura was gone. She nodded.

“You can’t speak? You have to keep silent in order to keep aura controlled huh,”I asked. She nodded again. She tried standing and I saw her almost fall. I caught her by chance

“Controlling it takes a lot concentration,”I noticed she felt dizzy. She nodded again. I picked her up. I noticed Kenzo put our bags in the car. I took her out of my room and down the hallway. We went down the grand staircase. We got through the big doors of the house and to the car. Kenzo opened the door and I put her in the car seat. Then I brushed against Kenzo and I smelled he had my sister’s scent. I glared at him.

“So that’s why you never approached me,”I asked. I was angered.

“It was mating season, and we didn’t mark yet,”Kenzo implied.

“Apart from the fact you trashed the house and made a party,” I asked.

“Y-yea but she started it first, and plus I discovered a long time she’s my destined mate,” he said. I sighed and gave him a pat.

“Congrats,”I told him.

“I know I can’t mark her, I can die from the bite,”he explained.

“How did you two do it without you dying halfway,”I raised my brow.

“Well she took the lead, and we were careful,”he explained. I wanted to get to know my mate in the right way. But she couldn’t transform and we were at a brink of war I knew she was left vulnerable if she was alone. Until I knew she could transform I would take her back. Kenzo and my sister Licia knew each other for a long time.

“I see well we have to get going,”I told him. I went in the driver seat. I drove to Dreyden’s pack and everything was left in ashes.

“What the hell,”I looked around in amazement. Stella was looking around too. I could see her fear. Then Dreyden was in small circle with his pack. I stopped the car and went to him.

“What happened,”I asked.

“The rogues seemed to gotten stronger, they’ve burned our houses, they’ve killed our children and our females, my warriors fought bravely but it wasn’t enough,”he said with sorrow.

“Dreyden what about your daughter,”I asked worried.

“She’s abroad and studying,”he explained. I could see he was injured.

“You must protect the royal wolf, they want her throne,”he said.

“Well I need a private jet to Canada to see if she has a passport or anything,”I explained. I walked to the car and helped Stella out. I saw how her beauty standed out in the ashes, the ashes seemed like freckles, her blue icy eyes seemed to glow. Her blonde wavy hair stood out of the flames. He nodded and we got out of the ashes. I saw a lot of people mourning. Stella’s face was devastated. If you don’t know Desert Wolves were going extinct. But Dreyden and mine were the only one to exist. Now it seemed like mine was the last one. But since I was going to mate with Stella in a near future, Desert Wolves were part of history’s tale. I couldn’t mate with her yet. My blood was way too potent still. The poison could be smelled miles away and could kill a whole army. We got to the plane.

“Just be careful, we will take you to Riven’s pack but please careful,”Dreyden said. I nodded and hugged him.

“What are you going to do?”I asked him.

“Probably let the rogues kill me, we know its the first wave but if you get out to safety with the royal Queen it will be a honorable death,”Dreyden said. Stella looked and walked to him and held his hands.

“Alpha Dreyden, I can’t give you the thanks for your life but your pack’s name won’t rest easy, I will make sure we can see the light once more and destroy all the rogues,”she said with confidence. Again her aura got tense and I looked at her. She took a deep breath and sealed it away.

“Thank you my Queen, it enlightens my heart but I would like to see my dear wife, I reigned over 40 years, I still have some fight left,”he said. He helped us get on the jet. We took off. I saw she was tense.

“You never been on plane awake,”I asked.

“N-no,”she said terrified.

“It’s fine, it’s a plane, we will get faster to Canada to get your passport, maybe Riven knows,”I said.

“Riven you mean the northern Ivor Pack,”she stated.

“You know Riven,”I asked.

“Once when I was young, father took me to show me a bit of the ordering and what it meant to be Alpha,”she looked away. I didn’t understand why she didn’t want to talk about her family.

“He’s also a good friend to my beta,”she added. I smiled and petted her.

“You told me you never had a friend last night,”I said.

“So I was thinking of becoming your first friend,”I handed out my hand.

“I would like that very much,”she said and took my hand. I hand her a cup of champagne. She took it. I was 22 so I could drink. I took a big sip out of the champagne.

“But aren’t you my destined mate,”she replied. I choked.

“HOW, you have a scent,” I said excitedly.

“No you smell like nothing still, but I do think I am growing fond of you,”she replied. I felt she slapped me with her words again.

“So you have a crush on me,”I asked with the most snarkiest accent. She looked at me confused.

“A crush is like you have feelings for the person that means more like friends,”I explained. She turned red.

“Ah so it’s true,”I said annoyingly.

“Ugh your so annoying,”she glared at me.

“Now now I’m alpha here missy,”I implied. She snarled.

“When can I go home,”she asked.

“When you can transform back darling and the war resides,”I said. Her aura was soft and I knew she wasn’t concentrating on controlling it because we were in the air. She was terrified.

“But the packs, how many are they going to end up like Dreyden, I need to go back and command my armies, I can fight,”she tried pleading her case.

“But the rogues want something from the crown, think about it, every place they’ve been attacking is where you are, we have to tactical,”I explained.

“Maybe the one commanding the rogues is powerful than you, who knows what we need is the head of the crown alive,”I implied. She looked away.

“Is it because I’m last of the royal Dynasty,”she asked. I looked away and I didn’t want to answer her question. Her beta just told me that the royal court wanted to protect the dynasty and the goddess. I drank my champagne.

“So your the last,”I asked.

“My mother was born as a royal, she was born in a pack tribe in the northern mountain, my father was born in the crown, normally our mates are true royal, when I was born my beta was hoping we find a royal that would be my destined mate like my ancestors, but no one bored the royal mark, but when I met your wolf I saw my own wolf in his eyes, when I’m near I feel that need to be selfish around you,”she said. I looked at her deeply.

“That’s what I feel too but right now we can’t think about us, I have to protect you,”I said.

“I want to make a vow,”she said. She held my hand in a nice embraced. Shivers went through my spine when our skin met. I felt that lust and love I had for her.

“I vow that whatever happens I will protect you with my life so no harm can happen to you,”she said looking into my eyes. Her ice eyes pierced my soul. It had me frozen in time. This was her true divine power. I grabbed her hand and kissed it.

“As my Alpha wishes,”I keep looking at her. She turned red and looked away at the window. I wanted to make her mine in that moment.

“So how did you watched humans closely,”she asked. I saw she got comfy in her seat so she could sleep.

“I snuck out from my not so loving parents, I went to school with them,”I explained to her. I saw she fell asleep. I went to the captain’s cabin.

“Just four more hours Lord Lycan,”he explained.

“Alright thank you,”I went back to Stella. She was asleep. I sat next to her. I checked if she was deep asleep. I chuckled. I kissed her forehead. She slipped in my arms. I was red and felt hard. I put her back.

“We’re just friends,”I told myself. Four hours passed and I was still awake. The rogues seemed to have more weapons. I was scared they had war planes so I decided to stay awake. I felt the plane landed. She was still asleep. I stood up and carried her. The pilot opened the door for us and helped us get out of the plane. Riven was there and greeted us. I could see he had a bunch of fit men.

“So you been training,”I asked.

“The war is upon us, so your the Lycan Leader,”he said with a snark look.

“Yes,”I responded.

“Is true you out bested your brother and any wolf because your the Queen’s royal destined mate,”he asked intriguingly. I didn’t know if this was a questionnaire.

“I’m not royal just of Lycan blood we were blessed and cursed by the sister goddess of Selene my mate,”I said.

“Very well but why did you came?” He asked question after question.

“We came because we need a passport, we can’t keep using jets not all packs have landing plane docks, the desert landing dock and pack are gone,”I answered.

“Very well her father was very intelligent of letting me get her registered under Canadian citizenship,”he implied.

“Just be careful the crown has a lot to hide,”he said. I looked at her. What could she be hiding from me. He took us to a modern mansion almost alike to mine but it was white and made of white concrete. I recognized the bold golden locks in the blanket. It was Stella. It looked like the painting had her father and mother and the Riven family. He took us to a elevator and we went up. Then my phone rang.

“Sorry Riven I have to take this,”I told him.

“No problem,”he said. I answered the phone.

“Hello,”I replied.

“It’s me Kenzo, the rogues killed Dreyden and the rest of his pack, they also found his daughter and they killed her,”he replied. I froze in fear.

“A-and our pack,”I asked.

“We’re going to Saudi Arabia again,”he replied.

“Good,”I said.

“Any orders you want to give me,”he asked.

“Send the females and the children first,”I ordered.

“Alright I will see you soon,”he replied and hanged up.

“Yea I heard of Las Shadeau pack, we got the news yesterday,” he explained. We got to his office and he handed all the documents and a id.

“Is this ID real,”I looked at him questioning him.

“Yes I went and got for myself, I told them I adopted her, her father was kind enough to go with me to make adoption papers, he was well,”he sighed and looked away. I could see this man’s grief. So these royals left their cub.

“You know they’ll keep finding her, she has a special scent, you have to keep running,”I looked at her as Riven explained that.

“I know we will stay at least three days,”I replied.

“Alright but if you need more time, I will offer you to stay my pack is training for any attacks, we sent the females to my luna’s tribe,”he explained. I nodded. He looked at Stella.

“Well I see your tired from the flight I will tell the maids to take you two a separate,”he tried to say.

“No separate rooms, it’s best if I stay with her if a rogue breaks in,”I explained.

“I see,”he said. The maids came in.

“My King Luna, “they began and bowed. That name was new. I gave him the look.

“How did they know that’s how the maids in the royal pack addressed me as,”I said.

“Like I said I’m the center to all news, I protect my maids, they have cameras when they go and they signal me when a rogue is in or outside, my house and my territory have a bunch of cameras and a secret hub to monitor all activities,”he explained. How rich was this dude?

“I wanted to send a lot of the latest tech to the royal pack but they’re old, so I built a dome that replicates the environment of the seasonal wolves,”he acted so corrected but he sure loved boasting. Yes there are four type of wolves, the rainforest lived in South America they tend to stay in one place, then the desert wolves my pack, then the seasonal wolves. Arctic wolves like my destined mate were all from the royal pack, they were the first wolves. The ones I consider pests are the seasonal wolves. They don’t tend to migrate. My pack migrated when needed. And Dreyden would follow, but since the rogues surprised us both at the same time we couldn’t help each other out. Riven showed hand gestures to the maids and they showed us to our room. My mate felt exhausted from controlling her power.

“Is it to your liking, my King Luna,”they asked.

“Yes you may leave now,”I ordered. They left. I saw a bunch of wolves and cubs training outside the window. I set my mate in the bed and nudge her a bit to wake up. She woke up.

“Where are we?”she stretched.

“In Canada, we are going to stay here for a few days, Riven gave me your passport, birth certificate, and your id,”I explained. I stroke her hair.

“Can you call the maids,”she asked.

“Why,”as I said that she gave me that look.

“Oh your bath right,”I looked away embarrassed.

“Does your bath help control your aura,”I asked.

“Sort of, it helps feel energized,”she said and put her long hair and squished it. I still stroke her silky hair. She turned red.

“When turn you turn red it’s so cute,”I told her and got close.

“Didn’t you say you wanted to stay friends and get to know me,”she asked with a grin on her face. I turned red and fell off the bed.

“I guess it’s three to zero,”she said with a chuckle.

“Ha ha very funny,”I said. She sat up.

“I will call the maids,”I told her.

“Alright,”she replied. I got up and left the room and I found the maids.

“Um the Queen wants to have a bath,”I told them. The nodded and bowed and went to the room. I stood outside of the room guarding it with all my life. Then the maids got out.

“The Queen is ready,”they told me.

“Alright I will go in,”I said. I went in the room. She had her hair in a hair ponytail with a blue ribbon holding it in place. The dress had straps that could be tied into bows. I could see her true hourglass figure.

“I kind of don’t feel naked finally wearing a dress,”she explained. I laughed at her comment.

“It’s true, why do you and your sister wear their underwear or whatever you call,”she looked at me.

“It’s call pants and you better stop talking or the bad wolf is going to come,”she stayed silent after I said that.

“I met with Riven,”I explained to her.

“He’s as annoying as any seasonal wolf can be, they have the best tech, best warriors,”I sighed. She looked at me.

“Oh right you don’t know what technology is,”she shook her head when I asked her that.

“Well it helps you, it’s there for to do things you can’t do, I can’t really explain,”I said. Then I remembered I had my phone and I showed her my phone.

“You mean you have light in a rectangular box,”she asked.

“It’s a phone, you can make calls, you can search things, it’s pretty useful, and it also works for entertainment,”I explained.

“Well we have phones,”she said.

“But they’re wired and old,”I explained. Then I saw a message from Riven telling me to go to data control.

“Stay silent and try to control your aura,”I told her. She nodded.

“I will go check what they need,”I exited out and left her in the room and met Riven in data control which was away from the mansion. It was three blocks away from the mansion. Riven was inside checking every camera.

“Oh you came, my beta and I wanted to show you our security,”he said.

“Its pretty amazing,”I replied. Then a muscular man came to me with a needle and I backed away.

“Hey don’t worry, my beta is not going to hurt you, I was thinking of using your blood for the darts, Elio explained to me what your blood could do,”of course Elio would tell Riven. But I was still on high alert.

“Riven I know you mean well but I don’t know how potent my blood is still since it seems that Stella is falling for me,”I looked at him. Then Riven glared at the beta.

“Bring me the rogue,”he looked back at the cameras.

“YOU captured a rogue,”I asked.

“I knew it be difficult to your approval, I met your father at the continental meetings,”he began moving buttons and looked back at me. Then the beta and the other team members walked with a struggling rogue.

“You know, your father did call it a curse but a gift at the same time, that’s how your grandfather killed all the desert wolves,”I didn’t want to believe what Riven was saying.

“I didn’t think that the whole family inherited it, and it seem weird your mother never wore a mark when the royal pack was invited to the grand anual alpha ball,”I keep looking at him.

“Just try and kill the rogue right here,”he said. I was always careful to not use my blood to kill a rogue or anyone. They grabbed his head forcefully and made him look up to me. They made sure they open his jaw. I put my wrist in the crevice of his jaw. I sighed and walked to him. He looked mad and wild. I grabbed my pocket knife and slit my wrist. It hurt like hell. The blood went through his mouth and backed away and grabbed a towel to not let more escape. He slowly became limp and closed his eyes. Then he fell dead. I was confused. The affects shouldn’t be strong. I was gaining Selene’s heart.

“Are you sure Stella is falling in love with you,”he asked. He saw my confusion.

“Stella confessed it to me,”I told him. He was confused too.

“I guess I have to tell Elio the riddle is complicated as he thought,”he was still looking at me.

“Take my blood,”I told him.

“We are going to take one sample, we will only use that bullet when necessary,”he said. The beta walked to me and tried the needle and it broke.

“Can I use the arm that you made a cut,“he asked.

“Yes but wear a mask,”I ordered him. He nodded and put on special equipment. Then he started to get my blood in a test tube. After he was done he gave me some bandages and I bandaged my arm up really well and washed off really well to not let the aroma or specks of blood in my hand or my left arm. I saw the beta went to the rogue and collected a sample as well.

“We will try to replicate your blood and send it to the other continental wolf packs,”he said.

“That’s alright,”I said.

“Is that all,”I asked. He folded up his sleeves and saw that he had burn mark on his wrist that seems like crown. I never saw anything like this.

“Oh this mark, it’s the pain I had to endure in order to prove I was the crown’s most loyal servant, I still am, and I want to protect her majesty,”he explained.

“Is that all,”I asked.

“Yes that will be all, and your invited to train with my warriors, the cubs are from some seasonal tribes so be careful with them,”he said. I nodded and walked back to the mansion. I saw her in a green house admiring the rose garden.

“ARAMIS,”she yelled and waved. I walked to her.

“You shouldn’t scream,”I told her.

“Sorry you were at the end of the hallway,”she said.

“So are these,”she tried asking.

“Roses,”I finished her sentence. Her aura was calm.

“Hey I been meaning to ask for long time and I knew it wasn’t my place to ask because we weren’t friends but is your beta claiming you,”she snorted. And began laughing.

“What’s so funny, you follow every rule that he tells you,”I said.

“He’s my father’s beta, he has been taking care of me ever since, and like I said rules are there to protect us,”she flicked my nose.

“So your parents, really did left you,”I asked.

“In a way,”she said.

“I’m so sorry, my parents weren’t the best either,”I said.

“They weren’t bad, it’s just,”she looked away.

“Hey it’s ok,”I comforted her. As the sun shone in her hair was almost like the snow. It glistened.

“You know many orphans wished to be princesses,”I said with a chuckle.

“But when I became a orphan I became Queen,”I could see I ruined the moment of joking.

“How old were you when you became Queen,”I asked. She stood up and left without saying a word. I felt she wanted to cry but she held it in. Why couldn’t my father give me good dating advice. I decided to walk to our room and knocked the door.

“Hey I didn’t meant to make you sad,”I tried talking to her through the door.

“To be honest I’ve never ever dated anyone, I never had friends before, and I didn’t have the best mentors of giving me friendship advice,”I tried saying but then I heard her chuckle.

“Fine I will think about the apology”I heard her. I smiled.

“May I come in,”I asked.

“I think I will allow your wolf in, I just need comfort right now,”she explained. I transformed. And then she opened the door. She petted me. I looked at her with puppy eyes.

“How can people say your a terrifying beast when I see you as innocent loyal animal,”she said with her breathy British soothing voice. She petted me. I let her hands go through my soft fur.

“I love you,”she said and rested her head on my head. I tried comforting her. I felt her body falling to sleep while hugging me. I let out a whimper trying to wake her up. She woke up.

“I’m going to be fine just holding so much power is taking a toll on my body,”she explained. I understood. She held a lot of power as a wolf. She coughed a bit and she coughed out blood. She looked sick. I nuzzled her. She hugged me tighter.

“Please don’t ever leave,”she was holding onto me tightly. She began singing a sweet melody. Her voice was soothing. I remembered that the song she sang was nightingale. I move my head to the crook of the neck. I decided to transform back. And I held her hand.

“I really meant the apology just let me stay here for a bit, keep singing,”I told her still resting my head on her crook. She smiled and nodded. I liked how she didn’t questioned me. She kept singing that sweet melody.
