Chapter 8: Aramis POV

“I don’t have anything to hide,”Elio looked over to the plants that decorated the dinning hall. I let out a grunt. I really wanted to help my mate.

“Then is there a bar here in the Arctic,”I asked with a grin. I drank some champagne.

“There is but I’m not drunk addict like you so knock yourself out,”he said. I wanted to keep trying in order to get closer to my mate. So I had to had get the information from Elio one way or other. Maybe he knew what happened to her mother. Or even her father.

“So tell me more about the deceased king,” I cut my meat. I wanted to test him and play with him since I was going to be King Luna. He started choking and grabbed his chest. Then Rizon saw. He walked up to the tassel gold thing and rung it once.

“Please esteemed guests, don’t get up from your seat,”Rizon. The maids grabbed Elio and took him away. The guests began chattering.

“It must be his old age people, so please don’t worry about him, he’ll be in the infirmary room,”Rizon was worried. Then the butler came. Well I guess that’s my parents always never brought me to parties. Estella’s butler came walking in.

“Her majesty would like to have a word with you,”he said. Well word did travel fast even if the castle was enormous. I let out a deep sigh and got up from my. A lot of eyes were glooming on me and glaring at me. I followed the butler to Estella’s room. The butler knocked.

“Your royal excellence, Mr.Lycan is right here,”he said.

“Let him pass,”she said behind the door. The butler opened the door for me. She was in a tube night gown with a sheer shawl covering her ivory shoulders. I really wanted to claim her. She didn’t looked in my direction.

“Look it’s not my fault he got a what you call it,”I tried explaining.

“Elio is cursed,”she said. Cursed? I never ever heard anything like that could happen to a wolf. Except to me and my family.

“My father put him a curse on him before he died,”she explained.

“How that’s impossible,”I said.

“For us royal blooded, we can make orders, orders that can kill people,”she said.

“Why did your father did that,”I asked her.

“I don’t know, my father was a bit stronger than me even though I’m seeing that I do surpass his strength and intellect,”she said. I felt bad. I walked to her and grabbed her by her bare shoulders and comforted her. I bit her shoulder softly. She softly moaned. I could feel she was in heat.

“Can I claim you tonight?”I asked her. I was kissing her neck. My hands slowly moved in her pelvic area.

“To be honest I never kissed anyone,”she was breathless. I twirled her around and kissed her gently. Her fingers entwined with mine.

“I have to tell you something,”she said. I grabbed her hand and began kissing her wrist.

“I’m listening,”I kept kissing her palm and still looking in her eyes.

“My mother she got murdered,”she said. I stopped.

“And your father left as coward because he didn’t want anything with you.”

She walked to the vanity and put on a pair of gloves and got out a gun. The gun was sliver plated. There were many designs.

“Shot himself with my great grandfather’s heirloom,”she explained. I was in shock.

“How do you know he shot himself with that gun,”I questioned her. Maybe her father told Elio that he wanted to escape from his responsibilities. I knew my father would do that.

“I know this because I was there when he shot the bullet to his heart,”she explained.

“They had the purest love, but the rogues,” she put the gun away and closed the drawers.

“The rogues kidnapped my mother and killed her, my father went on a expedition with Riven to finally save her but they were too late,”she said.

“During those months I always yearned to be hugged by father or my mother, but_..,”she began shaking.

“The rogues destroyed everything, it’s their fault I’m Queen from such age, I had to be the witness of my own father’s death, I never had time to mourn because I had to learn how to be Queen, how to make these big decisions,”she explained. She coughed a bit and a bit of blood came out. I cleaned her mouth with a napkin.

“What age did you took the throne,”I asked her.

“I was six,” I walked to her and cleaned her cheeks from her tears.

“You never had a childhood,”I asked her. She looked away. I kissed her cheek. I nuzzled her. I held her close. I wanted to know more about her. She grabbed my cheeks and kissed me hard. I pulled her closer to me. Then we heard a knock. I growled.

“Come in,”she said. The butler entered.

“Beta Elio is asking for your presence your highness,”the butler said. She grabbed her dark pink chal and went with him. They closed the door behind them. I felt anger and rage I couldn’t get a glimpse of what it would feel to have my mate skin to skin. I walked to the bed. I sat down and then I remembered when I first got here that the guard said something about the north wing. I looked out the window and I saw the crescent mooning looming over the whole Christmas town kingdom. Sadly the Arctic wolves weren’t elves they were average human height. I opened the door and slowly walked down the stairs and out of Estella’s tower. I could hear the alphas snoring from the other side of the castle. I slowly took a sharp turn to north wing. I walked under the archway and I found her office. I knew she had nothing to hide there even Elio. I looked around there were two huge staircases that led down. Then two staircases that also led up. I walked near the staircases and I saw the one that lead down had a lot of dust and was dark. I followed them and lead a hallway exactly like the east wing. The windows were covered in black curtains. I opened the every curtain I saw and revealed six doors that were barricaded. Only there was one door that wasn’t. I walked to the door and opened it. I walked in and saw painting of Estella with her parents. She looked like she was four. I walked to the bed and sat there. On the ground was a small bear I picked it up. It made me remember how she used to say that her mother and father would sing her a song. There was a small castle where she could play with her dolls. Everything was equipped for a child. I could imagine her young ghost running around. I chuckled a bit. I wanted to explore more this long forgotten past. So I got out of the room and closed the door. I saw that this lower part of the castle wasn’t used for a long time. I walked to double doors and ripped the wood off. I successfully ripped the wood off the door and opened it. The room was the size of well sized house. I saw a picture of the old Queen. Her mother was beautiful I could see Estella takes a lot after her. Then something shining caught my eye. I walked to it. I opened the small table lamp drawer. A music box twinkled as the moon’s light shined on it. I looked up and I saw that the roof was made of glass. It was really beautiful. I took out the box. Under the box was engraved “To my sweet Aceline”. I slowly grabbed the handle and turned it. It played a sweet melody.

“What are you doing here,”I heard a voice. I recognized it was my mate.

“AH your back so early,”I chuckled.

“I just had to go talk to the doctor, Elio was asleep by the time I got there,” she explained. I sat on the bed. She walked in slowly.

“I don’t think no one will find us here,”I smirked.

“Right here are you crazy, this is my dead parents room,”she said. I pulled her to the bed.

“I literally put you naked on the bed that my mom had her affair with a omega,”I began kissing her neck. I could feel she was in heat. She pushed me away.

“What’s wrong,”I asked her.

“This place brings too many memories,”she explained.

“Hey I’m here,”I comforted her. She cuddled closer to me. I felt warm and safe. I pulled her closer. I put the music box away.

“I guess we could do it here,”she mumbled. I laughed.

“Did I hear the princess correctly,”I tickled her. She laughed.

“ARAMIS,”she couldn’t stop laughing. I kissed her. She looked at me so fondly. I stroke her hair and kept kissing her. She started taking off my suit. I slowly started unzipping her dress. I felt how sweet scented her skin. It felt unreal. I kissed every inch of her body. I wanted her to feel safe. She grabbed my face.

“I love you,”she said. I began kissing her palm. She yelped a tiny bit. I began bitting her neck.

“I’m inside of you so it’s normal that it hurts,”I explained to her. I knew she was still young, she barely turned eighteen not too long ago. She nodded barely. I thrusted a bit slowly. She wrapped her left leg around me. I was trying to catch my breath. I started rubbing against her. She made a tiny a grunt. I keep kissing her tenderly. Once I reached deep inside I felt I was done. I was engulfed with pleasure. My destined mate and I were shaking. I held her close. She kissed my chest. I kissed her hair and stroke her back. I slowly slide next to her. She pulled the sheets to cover herself.

“That was amazing,”she said in a breathy tone. I laughed. I kissed her tenderly. I looked at her eyes.

“Aramis, do you really love me?”she asked. Her eyes glistened under the moon. I put a finger under her chin and kissed her.

“It’s a honor to be in love with you princess,”I expressed to her. She wrapped her arms around me.

“Princess Estella,”I was nervous around her.

“Yes,”she asked.

“Do me the honor to become my wife,”I grabbed a tuft of her hair.

“I accept,”she said and kissed me again. I was overjoyed.

“But King Luna, you must go to sleep, I have a appointment with the Lunas tomorrow, as for you, you have time to spend time with the alphas from the regions, you’d might be replacing Elio,”she said jokingly. Great I had to deal with people. I hated socializing. I nuzzled her in complaint. But I felt her sound asleep. I could feel her happiness.I smiled and pulled her under my chin. I kissed the top of her hair. I fell asleep next to her.

As the day rose. I was awoken by the rising sun. She slowly woke up too.

“Mmm morning,” Stella stretched. I yawned. I kissed her cheek. Stella chuckled.

“I can’t mark you yet can I?”she asked.

“No honey,”I smiled at her. I didn’t want to lose her. If she’d rejected me it be hard for me to find a Luna or even another destined mate. I nuzzled her neck some more. She nuzzled me back. She grabbed the tassel near the bed and rang it once. The maids came in shaking.

“Hey it’s ok I decided to sleep here tonight, just bring me my morning dress,”Estella tried calming down the maids down.

“As you wish your highness,”they left to get a dress.

“They also went to get your suit,”she smirked. I groaned.

“Can’t I wear just pants,”I asked her.

“Your going to suffer under my rules now,”Stella was in a surprising jokingly mood.

“Oh really now,”I began tickling her. Then we heard the door opened. I stopped. It was Elio and the maids who entered.

“Elio, nice to see you this early in the morning,”I tried to soften the situation. Estella sat up trying to hide her naked body.

“Look father, I know you don’t approve of Aramis, but I think it’s best if we get married,”Stella was trying to save my guts.

“It’s true I don’t approve of Aramis’ behavior or even manners, but I have not much of a choice, he’s sadly destined to mate with you in order to bring a heir,”he said grimly and left. The maids brought her a folded red dress and new underwear. As for me they brought me a gray suit pants with a gray vest, and a ivory satin undershirt. She got up and went with the maids to change.

“Estella,I’m sorry,”I tried to say.

“It’s fine, Elio, just doesn’t approve you, he thinks my father would be disappointed,”she explained. I changed in the gray suit

“Why does Elio think like that?” I asked.

“Think like what exactly?”I began putting the medallion cuff links.

“Why doesn’t he approve of me,”I asked her. I wanted to prove Elio wrong. She came out in a satin striped red dress. It was a skater dress and the sleeves reached her elbows and the bottom of her sleeves were lace. On the neck it was off shoulder and it had lace hanging and in the middle was a mere rose. Her hair was tied in a ponytail with a ribbon and she had a pearl choker necklace. I was breathless.

“Maybe ask him when your in a grill out with the alphas,”she said and walked away with maids. I walked to where the men were reuniting.

“Well it isn’t it the wolf who ran away from his family and almost became a rogue,”one of the alphas said with a laugh.

“Well I did beat my own brother didn’t I?” I asked.

“Well likely yes but seems like the only thing you inherited was a mere woman’s title,”Hugo said with a chuckled. All of them started laughing. I really started hating them.

“Good evening gentlemen,”Elio walked in. Everyone bowed as Elio entered the room. He wasn’t using his aura. His sleeves were rolled up and he had the same burn mark like Riven. The only difference was that it seemed like golden scratch marks. I grabbed a cigar and lit it up.

“To be clear, I’m getting married to her royal highness,” I smoked. Elio rose his brow. The only thing I knew was that Elio didn’t give out his opinion.

“I proposed to her last night,”I explained.

“And do you even have a ring,”Luecos laughed with the other alphas. Elio stayed silent like usual. I looked the other way. I looked out the window. I wished was out there instead of this prison cell. But I had to endure for my mate. I tried to feel how she was dealing with the Lunas but it seemed it wasn’t bad. Then I saw a rogue.

“Elio don’t you see that rogue,”I asked him. He looked to where I was looking.

“I have no clue what’s your blabbering about,”he said. The alphas clink their glasses together. I really wished Kenzo was here.

“But if the King Luna is unsatisfied with my answer, then I will send some guards to check it out,”he said. I growled.

“I’m still alpha you know, so I’m not King Luna,”I said with a annoyed face. Elio rolled his eyes. Then butler came.

“The European pack and rest of the seasonal packs have arrived,”he announced. Great more seasonal wolves. I sighed.

“And the rainforest wolves?”Elio asked.

“They’re resting and getting acclimated at Riven’s estate, but I do think that the japan’s forest wolves have come,”the butler explained. I hoped that the rainforest wolves would be at least more fun then these stupid idiots. I saw why my father hated going to meetings. My father had at least 12 or 13 kids. I was a child from one of his affairs. That’s why he rarely wanted to see me. So at age of ten he exiled me from the pack. I stayed alone in the Sahara desert trying survive on my own. My “mom” didn’t give a f**k about me.

“Excuse me, I’m going to go see my mate,”I told them and threw away the cigar. I walked out and closed the door. I saw Estella walking back to the women’s quiet room and I grabbed her hand. She looked at me.

“You look horrible,”she explained. I began nuzzling her.

“Please I feel sick without you,”I explained to her. I wasn’t lying.

“Let me excuse myself from the tea gathering and you could join me for some tea and a nice walk,”she said with a smile. She grabbed my hands. I didn’t want to go out after I saw the rogue. But I needed fresh air after the insults I had to go through. I let her go and nodded.

“Alright I won’t take too long,”she walked to the doors. I heard apologizing and the ladies laughing. She opened the door.

“Come on, I’m going to show you something,”she said. I followed her. We entered in the north wing. She took up the stairs to the second floor and I saw a lot of paintings of old past rulers. I saw Estella’s father on the wall he was the one who stood out the most. He wasn’t that bad looking.

“This is where all royal paintings end up?”

“Yes, but we do a tradition of when we die we leave something so the future generation always remember what we ruled for,”she explained. I saw her father’s wolf behind him. I saw he left a cane with a medallion and a golden crown.

“Your father was powerful,”I said admiring the painting. She nodded.

“His beast was bigger than any wolf”

“Where’s your painting?” I looked at her. She walked to a big archway that lead outside and the tunnel was made of glass, it had black swirls around it until we reached a gazebo.

“Since I’m goddess Selene they made this, maybe also because I’m the last original royal line,”she explained. I saw her painting and it was bigger than the other ones.

“YOUR THE LAST?” I asked.

“Yes? Soon we will enter the Lycan lineage” She looked at me confused. I sniffed something in the air.

“Well that’s depressing,” I looked out on the snow. It seemed no one was out on the tundra.

“Let’s have tea in the green house which is located on the north wing,”she smiled. I never seen her that way before. I nodded and followed her. As we entered, the green house was bright full of exotic flowers. Towers full of desserts. The table had a sliver engraved designed tray with a porcelain tea pot as well with the tea cup and spoon set. I sat down with her and we began enjoying the cookies that were served. I couldn’t stop admiring that shimmer she had. I saw something out of the corner of my eye. I grabbed Stella and got her under the table. I covered her mouth. I listened carefully to the snow falling. She felt confused but she stood still.

“The rogues are here,”I whispered to her. I sniffed the blood of the royal guards.

“Then let’s go,” she pleaded.

“Let me transform, we can get to Elio and to everyone faster,”I told her. She looked at me and sighed. I slowly transformed and let the beast out. I nuzzled her. I lowered myself a bit to let her get on. She got on and held my fur tight. I didn’t want anyone to hurt her. I felt her wolf form was a bit weak. I slowly walked in the castle. I tried to look out for the scent. As I entered the entrance of the north wing everything was out of place. Blood was splattered everywhere.

“E-Elio,”she said quivering.

“I have to go find him, he’s not in the great condition to fight,”she said. I smelled her fear. We ran out of the castle to where all of the blood was splattered. The alphas were fighting the rogues. I set her down and ordered her to stay.

“I want to fight as well,”she said. She was stubborn. I kind of liked that of a female. I traced a circle with my snout and ordered her again. This time she sat because she knew that she couldn’t get out of the circle. I couldn’t believe I just ordered a goddess to sit like a puppy dog. I got in the fight. My jaws were clenching as many rogues as possible. I let out my wild nature instincts let loose on the snow. I ordered the alphas to return to protect the entrance of the castle. I saw Elio finally killed one of the rogues. As we thought there were no one left. Elio growled at the scent of someone unknown. I saw foot prints that a big rogue left. The alphas from the other clans were fine. They were dealing with another handful of rogues. Then I saw a rogue coming to Estella. Estella was too weak to fight a big male. She was backing away slowly. It suddenly jumped to take over her. But Elio ran as fast as possible to aid her. I ran to stop Elio. Then a rogue took over my ear. I fell to the ground. I looked at the wolf dead in the eye. I jumped at him and started brawling him and filled my desire of blood to the maximum. I heard a yelp that shook my courage and fell over the hill with my kill. As I got up from the victory I saw Elio’s still body. She ran to him. The huge wolf howled and shivers went through me. I knew him. It was hard to forget about Gavriel. A gray wolf with a powerful bite. But not as powerful as the leader of the rogues. Gavriel slowly left with the other wolves. It was unwise to go after them, there would be more out of the tundra. I ran to Estella. The red black tinted wolf nuzzled her. He was badly injured. She grabbed his fur. His body stood still. He began standing up but he was too weak. Estella tried helping him. A male was too heavy to be carried by a female.

“Come on you have to get up,”she pleaded. I limped closer to the circle I made.

“Elio we have to go back to the castle,please let the healers help”she pleaded him with tears. Every wolf encircled her. I was full of jealousy.

“Please transform back I demand it,”her aura turned everything blue. Sadness was the only thing that was in the air. Elio was slowly closing his eyes. He was still fighting. Estella took out her crystal and tried healing him. She grabbed his crystal as well to join. The lonesome goddess tried again and again. Nothing seemed to work. It seemed like destiny had finally taken its victim. Her tears tinted the white snow. I slowly transformed back.

“Estella he’s gone,”as I walked to her. Elio slowly transformed back lifeless. The doctors walked to her and slowly took him away. Her knees were frozen to the ice.

“I’m all alone now,”she said coldly.

“No your not, um you still have me,”I tried comforting her.The alphas glared at me as they were returning to the castle. The butler walked to her.

“Tell me how many deaths,”she said not facing anyone.

“All the maids rescued from the camps were dead, including Miss,”he tried to finished.

“Dysis,”she hugged herself. Riven came with the rest of the seasonal packs and the rest of the rainforest pack. He read her face of terror and looked at me.

“We were attacked,”I explained to Winston for Riven was far more interested helping Estella. Riven walked to her and got her up. The dress was red but it became of a wine color. At the glimpse of my eye I saw Elwin, a white small Arctic Wolf. He was the fox hound of the rogue clan. He went back and followed the rogues.

“King Luna,”one of the rainforest wolves came to me.

“It’s nothing,”I explained to him. We all walked to the castle. Riven walked her in. I saw his burn mark was almost exactly like Elio’s mark. I didn’t know it meant something. Then a walking distance I saw Kenzo. I hugged him tight.

“How’s the pack and my sister,”I asked him still hugging him. He was trying to pull away but my strength didn’t let him.

“Whoa whoa put some clothes on will you first before you hug me, and I have to bandaged your ear as well before I’m on the ground,”I let him go. He finally let out a deep breath.

“Well yes your right let me show my room so you could um check my right ear,”we both entered the castle and walked in my room.

“I finally claimed her as mine Kenzo,”I was telling him as he was wearing a gas mask and curing my ear. The maids put me another disgusting tight suit again.

“So the curse will be lifted huh,”he didn’t looked too convinced. The maids as soon as they were done they bowed and left.

“I’m sure it will work,”I insisted.

“Oh really? I think your curse is getting worse,”he said.

“How?”I snarled as he didn’t believe me. He started shaking a bit.

“Just let me show you,”he said. I calmed down and handed my arm to him. He grabbed a small knife and then a porcelain vase. He slowly made a clean cut. As the blood touched the vase, it slowly melted away. My blood was becoming slightly acidic.

“I think your the most dangerous out of the Lycan Clan,”he looked away.

“The doctor discovered that you paralyzed Estella’s wolf, she won’t be able to transform, it’ll take her double the energy,”he said and looked away. He slowly started stitching my arm.

“Is she in danger,”I asked him concerned.

“You shorten her lifespan,but other wise if she uses her power more it can affect her health,there is no cure for your blood,”he explained.

“Even a the tiniest drop of your blood can affect a wolf,” his words were echoing in my head. Then we heard a knock.

“Come in,”I was struck by the information that Kenzo gave me.

“All the alphas are headed in the royal court room,”the butler said.

“Come Kenzo,”I was trying so hard to break the curse.

*Did my sister’s curse disappear,* I asked.

“We marked yesterday, her curse is gone,”so I was the only one by the way Kenzo was implying. As the butler took a lot of turns we were at the royal court room. It was a mess. Alphas yelling. There was guy who’s ear was falling off.

“WELL I DESERVE THE SPOT I WAS THE CLOSEST OF BEATING ELIO,”one of them snarled. Rizon looked at me. I walked to him and as soon I tried walking to him. People were hitting each other and growling. I got to Rizon.

“They’re not going to calm down, they’ve been at it since the royal beta became available,”Rizon dodged a chair that was thrown to him. Then Estella entered with the royal court. Everyone stood still.
