Draped in Ash’s shirt, inhaling his cologne and laughing like a fool, we make a break for our room. Sprinting along the beach, barefoot together, hand in hand we eventually find the windy palm-tree lined avenue back to our hut. Passing near to the restaurant, it’s clear the night is pretty much over for Blair and Sol. The band has stopped, couples have gone to bed. Half the tiki-lights extinguished as staff prepare for the next set of events on the itinerary. A dirty little thrill races down my spine. It makes me want to use that plunge pool even more.
