Seeing Ben's car already waiting at a corner café near their office, Nina shyly broke into a bright smile.
Ben immediately opened the door, fastened her seatbelt, and showered her face with affectionate kisses.
The couple seemed eager to get home, to be free to be themselves again.
"Where did you go this afternoon?" Nina asked, remembering how disheveled he had looked at lunch, now refreshed.
"To the prayer hall," Ben answered briefly, taking her fingers and kissing them lovingly. Nina blushed. She wasn't used to so much affection, but she felt happy and cherished.
Before, Joe had also been attentive, but Ben's attention was different. Nina felt fortunate she had followed Joe's advice to get close to him.
Once home, they washed up. Ben decided to make dinner.
