Chapter 13: Powers

Tricia’s POV

  I can’t seem to wrap my mind around the fact that I could have more than one power. Its all just becoming to much, so I’ve decided that we will have dinner and then training will start tomorrow. As of tonight I have something planned for Justin and I to do since we didn’t get to finish our date.

  “Hey lover boy, I have a question for you.” I said

  “What’s that?” He asked while wrapping his arm around my waist.

  “I wanted to know if you would want to finish our date?” I asked I really hope he says yes because the butterflies in my stomach aren’t helping my nerves.

  “Of course. Let me just go get the stuff we need.” He said.

  “Okay meet you in my room.” I told him while he kissed my forehead.

  I am very excited and I can’t wait to see the look on his face. While I was outside I asked one of the workers of the pack house to go up to my room and put rose peddles everywhere and to also light some candles.

  When I get up there it completely takes my breath away. I can’t believe that I am in fact, my room. Looks like I need to go over our finances and figure out if we can afford to giver that girl a raise.

  I turn around just in time to see Justin is stuck in the hall way just staring at my room.

  “Close that, you’ll catch flies.” I told him with a giggle.

  He just chuckled in response.

  “Where did you have the time to do all of this?” He questioned.

  “I asked one of the ladies that works in the kitchen to set it up. I didn’t know what you had in mind desert wise so I figured the least I could do was set the mood.” I told him.

  “Oh okay. That makes since.” He said.

  “Ohhh ice cream, hand it over if you wanna keep those hands of yours.” I told him with a hint of laughter in my voice.

  When we finished our ice cream we talked a little bit before I finally found the courage to tell him what I have decided.

  “So, we need to talk about something.” I tell him totally serious even after the lame joke he just made.

  “Okay what do you wanna talk about?” Justin asked.

  “I wanted to tell you the decision I have made regarding our mating.” I told him. I took a deep breath and then said, “I am going to step down from the Alpha position and take my place as Luna, with that being said I do request that you allow me to continue with everything I have been doing in this pack for the last few months.” 

  “Really? That’s amazing!” He replied with a smile on his face.

  “Yes, I want to keep up with how my pack has been run for generations until we can get you all settled. I planned on announcing it to the packs tomorrow. Is that okay with you?” I asked.

  “Yes, that will be perfect let me tell Allan so he can inform everyone else.” He told me.

  “Okay, also go get your bag. This is the Alpha’s suit. My Alpha needs to stay in his room with his Luna.” I said and giggled when he let out a low growl before going to his room to get his stuff and move into my room.

  By the time he got back into my room I was almost asleep. I felt the bed dip in and he held me all night. When I woke up from a nightmare, he was there to help me get through it so I could get back to sleep.

THE NEXT DAY

  When I woke up I started to panic. I realized I wasn’t alone and nearly jumped out of my skin. When I realized it was Justin I calmed down a little bit.

  “Good morning beautiful.” He said chuckling.

  “Good morning. How did you sleep?” I asked.

  “Amazing since I slept next to my mate.” He said just as my bedroom door was opened and he let out a warning growl.

  “Hey girl ready to go….. OH MY GOD I AM SO SORRY!!! Come find me when your done.” Kels said.

  “Oh Lord. We have no idea what is going to happen. Chances are we are both going to be checked for mate marks.” I said with a laugh as I made my way to the bathroom.

  I do my business and then have to figure out what I am going to wear. I decide I’m going to wear the dress my mom bought me for my Alpha ceremony. I also put on a pair of diamond studded ear rings my dad bought along with the matching necklace and bracelet. I also decide that I am going to have to put my mark on him before making the announcement to the pack.

  After setting out my clothes and all of the necessary jewelry I decide to go and join Justin in the shower.

  “Hey, handsome. I think we need to mark each other now and complete the mating after the ceremony with the pack.” I tell him and he nods and agrees.

  I wrap my arms around him and hold on tight after moving my hair to brace myself for the slight pain that comes with the marking. The feeling after the pinch when his canines sunk into my skin is something I can’t even being to describe. He cleaned the blood off of my neck and it was my turn to mark him. When I bit him I made sure to put some of my essence in his mark so that way he had the same strengths I did and that way we were equals. He let out a low grown when I retracted my teeth and cleaned his mark. It healed almost instantly when I removed them. We are now finally marked.

  “Okay I am going to wash up really quickly then get dressed and make my way down stairs.” I told him.

  “Okay love. See you down stairs.” He said and grabbed a towel to dry off with.

  Once I was done I dried off and blow dried my hair. I got dressed and applied the minimal amount of make-up and then went down for breakfast.

  “Let me see it!!!” I heard Kelsey squeal.

  I moved my hair out of the way and she stood there in awe. My mark has a wolf howling at the full moon with our initials in the moon.

  “Oh honey, it’s beautiful.” She said.

  “Thank you.” I said just before feeling very light headed along with my body temperature rising. Next thing I know Kelsey is screaming and my Aunt Ashley comes crashing through the front door.

  “Nobody touch her.” She said as Justin went to reach for me.

  Ashley caught me just as I was about to fall and drug me outside.

  “Alpha, you need to get me several buckets of cold water. The only reason I can touch her is because I am family and a witch.” She told him while I was screaming.
