NUR We were inside a mosque. Wait, no. It wasn’t just any mosque––it was the London Central Mosque. Mama stared at me with tears pooling her big eyes. “I’m so sorry, Nur,” She said and swathed me in a hug. I couldn’t describe the soul-tearing pain I was feeling. My eyes felt all weird and swollen from crying too much but it was my heart that I was most worried about. It was shattered and I didn’t know why I felt such a searing pain.
