I regretted sending him away the moment I saw him walk out that front door because I was in doubt if he would ever come back. I counted the number of times I could hear my clock ticking and I watched the tea on the floor getting colder, I stayed on the floor with my back leaning on the kitchen counter and my ass on the cold hard ground as my tears dried up waiting for him to come back but he didn’t. The next day he had called but I ignored it, so did the next day when he called again and the day after that.
