Amidst the sea of bewildered faces, Christopher's phone rang out of the blue.
He pulled it out and saw it was a call from his mother, Laura.
Oh no, he realized with a jolt. He'd been so caught up in having fun these past few days that he'd completely forgotten to visit his parents at the hospital. He felt like the worst son ever.
He quickly answered the call, "Mom..."
His mother's panicked voice burst through the line, "Chris, you need to come quickly, something terrible has happened!"
Her words sent a chill down Christopher's spine. He hurriedly asked, "Mom, what's happened? Is Dad's condition getting worse..."
"No, we're at the Bennett Family estate. Hurry, if you don't come soon, your dad will...."
